I have a couple of technical questions... you know, I usually have one of these anyway... and maybe you can help me with any of them...

1. What can I do when I try to upload an audiobook to iTunes and later iPod and the tracks get all out of order. This usually happens when the tracks of the cds aren't identified by iTunes and I have to write them manually. Is there any way to name the tracks right so I get it in orden when I listen to them in the iPod. (Audiobooks usually have several cds, btw, don't know if there is the trick or not)???

2. I'm trying to pass a file from a cd to my harddrive and my dvd/cd readers try to do so but I keep getting this message that they can't because something of a cyclical redundance??? What can I do to get the file?

I remember how much I loved him in Band of Brothers and after that in Shakespeare Retold ep Much ado about nothing, that I can't help myself but squeeing big time at the news of watching him in a series. (I still have The Forsythe Saga waiting to be seen *sigh*).

- I want to ask a question to all of you iPod owners... I wonder if I'm the only one who has an iPod that fooled me with the battery indicator... It was half green when I switched it on and the next second I got the message that the battery was empty. It didn't go to red (the indicator) in any moment!!

- And could somebody explain me why (or how started) there are people using other people's faces to feature Harry Potter characters in icons and other artwork. I don't mean a character that doesn't exist in the movies, that I do understand, I mean, no using any of the actors from the movies :S I think I missed when that started or/and the reason.

So, I got my lovely new iPod but as I want to use it all the time and I'm impatient and I'm too lazy to look for the info, I got two questions (probably very silly):

* I installed Videora to transform and upload videos to the iPod. My question is: Do I always have to wait to the moment I have to charge the battery to upload there every new thing I upload to iTunes (because it's what I do in fear I break another iPod battery for 'improper use'... *sigh* Because I have it charged but yesterday I used it for a bit and today I upload more music and later I want to have the video also ready to get it into the iPod. I ask because maybe there is a way and I don't know about it.

* How do you (if you actually can) do it with those copy controlled cds to upload them to iTunes?? Because I want very badly to upload some like Placebo's Sleeping with Ghosts and I just can't! (and I supposedly installed a program that would help with that but it seems it didn't :S)

* Got my brand new black 30 Gb iPod after going to three different shops... It looked like everybody had decided to get a new iPod to take with them while they were on holidays... I was thinking I couldn't get it. (Apart from that we also bought some things for the house in two of my favorite decoration shops La Oca (a Spanish company I think) and Habitat! (Btw, today was colder. This morning was absolutely great to get out on the street... it was absolutely fresh!! --> thing that improved my mood!)

*netnessie has posted a wonderful photo shoot of Toby Stephens with a red coat (I've seen some of them but not sure I saw all the ones she posted). You can see them and enjoy them HERE. They are in high quality (or pretty high anyway).

*alexandral is back from wonderful holidays so I think we all forgive her for not being around for a while ;)

* Has anybody in my friends list read a book by Ian McEwan titled 'Atonement'? I know more or less what it is about and the thing is that James McAvoy and Keira Knightley are filming a movie version of it, so I want to know about the plot and the characters. I don't mind some spoilers, but please don't tell me the end... I mean I need something like: 'the story is placed here, at this time, and it's about this boy, this girl, etc (elaborate a bit here)... and is a very sad story (or not), it has sad and happy moments (or not)...' and of course, tell me if you like it or not and if you recommend I read it. The movie will be released in a year so I have plenty of time to read the book. I asked because yesterday I started watching the movie version of 'Enduring Love' and although I just watched the beginning it doesn't look like a very optimist story (but I'm enjoying it for now and the actors are great).

*Another favor: We bought a bamboo food steamer that we were looking for for ages. If anybody have tips or advice about cleaning it properly or where to keep it in the kitchen or even tricks for recipes and you don't mind to share them with me, I'll be glad to know. I bought it to cook Dim Sum but it also looks like a very delicate thing to keep in shape for a long time... So, well, thank you in advance!

I'm just going to ask in case somebody knows what may happen with it. My mini iPod is acting a bit weird lately... and I honestly can say that I didn't read the whole booklet that came with it but I read most of it...

The thing is that in the last weeks the battery is playing with me. I use the mini iPod almost everyday and I know I exhaust the battery pretty quick (quicker than before anyway when I only used it to go to Madrid city center and class and that was all)...

The other day the battery indicator showed that it was around half the battery but when I went to listen music the 'battery empty' text appeared and the iPod turn off.

And the last couple of times I've tried to charge it... although I keep the iPod connected to the computer like more than 12 hours, it keep showing like is charging and I don't seem to get the image of the battery fully charge :(

So my questions are:

Is it possible that the battery (as in mobile phones) doesn't last as much as it lasted at the beginning due to the extensive use I give to the thing?

It something in the machine that will make me reset it and install all again??

Help?!

In other news, it seems that some cinemas here in Madrid are trying to boicot Disney (in my honest opinion they're playing with fire)... because of Disney's expensive price in the movies they distribute... so, last week Scary Movie 4 wasn't released in all the theatres that should be showing it and, ... here comes what worries me... the released of Pirates of the Caribbean 2 is also in danger and won't make it to all the theatres it should go (and I'm crossing my fingers that doesn't mean I won't get it in O.V.)

Today is the day... Spain-France, or France-Spain, depending on who is saying it ;) I'm a bit bothered with the match because I really want Spain to win, but knowing them as we all do, it's possible they mess up and end losing... which will be terribly disappointing!!!

They are able to play fantastically, they are younger than the French and they have been playing better than them... but don't know, I have this weird feeling in my stomach (and no, is not something I ate)... We'll see...

However it also annoys me our kind of 'bad luck'. Look Italy, they have the easy matches... (sorry for the Australian fans, but it's kind of true) and now they'll face Ukraine. And, this team, who was going to tell them that after losing 4-0 against us, they will be still in the World Cup after winning against Switzerland.

Meanwhile, the rest of matches will be like finals themselves: Argentina-Germany or England-Portugal... and if Spain passes: Spain-Brazil... arggg!! That is bad luck for us, honestly...

I'm a bit concerned about little things here and there... nothing of importance but I'm really considering creating a poll... anything I should have in mind (since it will be my first one)?
