Today, I realized that my mood theme and my older icons weren't working anymore and I didn't remember that it was because I changed the type of pack I'm paying for to my server provider... Now it's solved and as I was working on it, I also changed my mood theme to 'Men of Harry Potter' by tattooedsiren. You can check all the pics from this mood theme HERE.

I really like it since it has all the boys, Oliver Wood, Cedric, Sirius, Lupin, etc, included.


In other news, apart from fixing the problems with the pics in my server, I also installed WordPress at my website. That will allow me to have a proper blog there. That doesn't mean I'm leaving LJ, because I'm not even considering it, at least for now, but I feel like saying it here in case somebody is thinking about leaving, WordPress is free, for what I've seen and it looks like that it works like LJ in the posting and managing aspects. I hope I can take a proper look and will talk about it here. I know there are other options like Blogger but I don't like it.


Also, HP related, I read at harry_potter that David Yates, director of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, wasn't going to cast Christian Coulson as Tom Riddle. I'm a bit disappointed as everybody who has commented there. I think he was a great Tom Riddle in the second film and I'd love to see him again. Besides, one of the things I love about the Harry Potter movies is that everybody is reprising their roles (except Richard Harris but for reasons that are impossible to change :( ) Anyway, I hope he changes his mind.

Got a question to those in my flist who are Harry Potter fans and belong to some of the communities devoted to this fandom:

Which communities do you recommend me to post Harry Potter related art/manips/icons at? Because I wanted to share my Lupin/Tonks manip and icons and I'm finding it a bit tricky and I just can't decide. I want to target the right people and I don't think I'm aiming right.

I belong to some: _hp_layouts, hp_icons, hp_graphics, harry_potter and some others, but a couple are new to me, another isn't for graphics and the other one hasn't be updated in a while. So, I really don't know where to post manips/icons, because the icons ones, usually have a lot of members that post about Harry/Ron/Hermione and other young actors mainly and any of the comms I've seen manips. It seems that if you like the older ones (except Snape) you're in a minority *sigh*

I couldn't find any community about Lupin/Tonks, I'm not sure LJ is being good to me, or maybe I don't choose the right way to write the interest but I just don't get any, and I wonder if somebody else is interested in this shipping and may be glad to find out that there is somebody else (me) with the same taste and a bit of time to make artwork about them.

Of all my shippings the only one (I think) that has a community is cedrichermione but I also like Oliver/Hermione, Lupin/Tonks (yeah, I also like Lupin/Sirius, that is the exception, there ARE tons of comms but it seems I'm also missing the ones about graphics), Neville/Luna, Neville/Hermione, Lily/Severus (platonically talking), Ginny/Harry, etc... And about minor pairings the only thing I could find is a fanfic comm.

It isn't just that I don't find people with the same shippings than me, that it's allright, but I can't even find a community about Harry Potter manips, and I think it's a bit strange since the HP fandom is pretty big.

Any help / suggestion will be appreciated!

In my current state of 'pottermania' after the new book and movie, I'm desperate to get images of the people I like the most (and in most cases there are enough!)

You can't imagine how hard was to find two images of these too. It was even worse than finding Cedric and Hermione pics that fitted together (and that was hard!)

I've found three Tonks pics good enough to play with them and another three or so of Lupin. I have caps but I still don't know if they'll look together when I decided to play with them.

I'm pretty satisfied with the result given the resources ;) And I'm very happy with my brand new Lupin & Tonks icon.

New layout because I was getting tired of the previous one. As you can see there aren't a lot of changes, just included a bit of green. This one is from refuted in case you want to take a look at the layouts there, some of them simple and clear like this one.

I made the change of layout because I'm terribly frustrated with myself. I want to make icons and one of two headers/manips and nothing, my muse disappeared during the day and I was really waiting for tonight to come (when baby ginger is asleep and also is mr. ginger) to have some time for myself and what I've doing: looking desperately for the layout because I saw it before my holidays and I couldn't remember where I've seen it.

Btw, I'm looking for nice quality Severus (I've found some at Rickman-Online but not enough), Sirius and Lupin pics (also of Lily and James but I don't think there are more than a couple of screen caps and I think I have it -if I'm wrong, please do tell me ;)), so if you have some site to recommend me I appreciate it.

I need brand new shiny Harry Potter icons from the last movie and I want to give it a try and make some myself... *sigh*

I remember how much I loved him in Band of Brothers and after that in Shakespeare Retold ep Much ado about nothing, that I can't help myself but squeeing big time at the news of watching him in a series. (I still have The Forsythe Saga waiting to be seen *sigh*).

- I want to ask a question to all of you iPod owners... I wonder if I'm the only one who has an iPod that fooled me with the battery indicator... It was half green when I switched it on and the next second I got the message that the battery was empty. It didn't go to red (the indicator) in any moment!!

- And could somebody explain me why (or how started) there are people using other people's faces to feature Harry Potter characters in icons and other artwork. I don't mean a character that doesn't exist in the movies, that I do understand, I mean, no using any of the actors from the movies :S I think I missed when that started or/and the reason.

A bit of Harry Potter news... (don't read if you don't want to know a thing about book seven)!!

Yesterday after we came back from watching Spain's team debacle, mr. ginger checked the news online and pointed me to this news (sorry is in Spanish, but I do think there is an English version of it in Yahoo! News for what I've read)... where it says that JK Rowling could kill Harry in her next book.

All the info is from an interview she did with Channel 4, I think.

She says the following: 'A character will remain alive, but I have to say that two other will die, although at the beginning I hadn't though about killing them'...

She was asked about if those two characters were the most loved by fans and she answered: 'there is a price that has to be paid. We're dealing with truly evil here and they don't go after supporting characters, they go for the main ones'.

She refused (obviously) to give more information about those two characters she'll kill in the seventh book. 'I don't want to compromise myself and I don't want to receive more hate email or some other things'.

And she added, 'I wasn't never tempted to kill Harry before the end of book seventh, since from the beginning I thought about writing seven books'.


Okay...

First of all... I hate this kind of interviews, I mean, they take some surprise out of the book... I know I could just not read them... but come on, an interview with JK Rowlings and you expect people to skip it??

I don't think she should give such details because it's kind of cruel... Imagine, seven books to read at the end that Harry and Ron, or Harry and Hermione die... wtf! (sorry for the language)

And probably the thing that annoys me the most is this: '...two other will die, although at the beginning I hadn't though about killing them'. That is information she should have kept to herself!

There is still ages until we get to read the book and this kind of leaked info is just kind of cruel... *sigh*


In another news HP related too, Michael Gambon (Dumbledore)... ( LJ cut because there may be SPOILERS ahead for those who haven't read all the books published )

I don't think I have more images from GoF to use in manips for now, so I think these are the last three for now... besides, they probably aren't that great anyway.
