Hope everybody is having a wondeful time celebrating the new year. I've just arrived from my in-laws and miraculously the baby hasn't waken up with all the firecrackers and all... (can't understand that way of destroying celebrating the new year)

Anyway, this is to give the correct info of JANE EYRE airing in Antena 3. I've checked their schedule and it's TOMORROW at 16.00 for sure!!!

I could swear they said 'tomorrow' in the promo I saw yesterday... and you know how they work... but it could be me too, so here it is! Enjoy if you watch it!! I may see bits of it... but not all since my parents tv is broken and we're having lunch there :S

As I've said... HAPPY BEGINNING OF 2007!!!!

PS. my first post of the year couldn't be less glamourous (if we don't include Toby, of course, because the man has style ;))

Somebody really should stop me! I'm in an unhealthy/too satisfying online shopping spree, mainly Amazon marketplaces and Ebay (as I'm buying a lot I have to go for the cheapest :S) Last month it was about getting Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. stuff and this months is all Larry Olivier's.

I spent 32 dollars + shipping charges to get the LIFE magazine with Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh on the cover :S but I just couldn't let it go. I also bought one from 1972 with an article about Larry... This one I'm a bit worried about because of my experiences buying magazines at Ebay -I should learn the lesson but I don't- (last time it was a couple of magazines featuring Jane Eyre 2006 on the cover, and actually that was the only thing worth it! the articles inside were kind of meh!)

That also reminds me that I keep thinking that I preferred when Toby Stephens was a bit more 'obscure British actor'. Don't get me wrong, I love that he is getting the recognition he deserves and all but it has happened to me before that i get tired of hearing/reading too much about that actor (David Tennant anyone??) and I don't that to happen with my beloved Toby because I've loved him and his work since I saw Photographing Fairies and all those old works of him... *sigh*

Anyway, I think I mentioned that I was reading 'A Hell of A War' by Douglas Fairbanks, Jr.. This book is in fact the second part of his autobiography but I received it before the first part (The Salad Days), so I started reading it in bad order, yes I use to do that when I'm impatient, and I really was!

The book tells his life during WWII when he served in the Navy and I really am enjoying every bit of it. The first part of the book is a brief recollection of moments that I'm sure I'll find with more detail in the first book but that DFJ decided to included in the second book in case somebody decided to read just that one (clever boy my DFJ).

The fangirl in me squees to no end when I find things like the fact that DFJ was close friend with other actors I love like Laurence Olivier or David Niven, and even Cary Grant. For example he comments how happy he was when David Niven landed a small role in The Prisoner of Zenda, or how Cary Grant and one of his wives, were the ones renting DFJ's house when he moved with his family to his wife's ranch in Virginia. How cool is that! I'd love to read all those details... it's like a window that I would have loved to have to their lives watching how they enjoyed each other companies... They were all beautiful, powerful and talented... and they were friends and spent timt together and all... I love that, I really do.

As usual I'm lacking the coherent words... I just say that the last episode has amazing moments that I've been trying to picture in my head the whole week!!! Finally they didn't disappoint me, since they are even better than I imagined...

I have to say that I've watched the last 13 minutes around three or four times already (and probably will do it again soon) because those scenes are the most beautiful and touching thing ever!

Ruth Wilson is amazing as she's been in the previous episodes... but as usual Toby was the best thing! I love the vulnerability and humanity he gives to Rochester at the end... How his feelings are more in surface than before and how damaged he thinks he is to keep Jane with him...

I love the interaction between them at the end because it is the same they had always had... I've only seen the same scene in the Timothy Dalton and Zelah Clarke version, and although the teasing and the relationship between them is kept as it should be, my favorite is the one between Toby and Ruth... so touching, so emotive... I was so much as crying like a baby...

I can't really wait for February to come! I need this DVD now!!!

Anyway as the only think I'll manage is to repeat myself and say again how wonderful the last part is... I think I'll stick with my method: picspam of my favorite moments.

I made the icon I'm using right now the other day and I really like the effect I manage that it's very simple but I thought about making a set of icons with that effect for my favorite moments ever from episode 3 (=proposal and kisses) and here they are (set of 10).

I was going to put a LJcut but as I'm using a similar icon to the ones I've made, I think there is no point. Sorry if somebody haven't watched episode 3.

Okay, this thing has erased my whole post and I just don't know how!! *mad* so now my post will be shorter :/ Can't remember what I wrote in the previous one...

Anyway, I was posting about how wonderful was Jane Eyre episode 3 and how little I could say that hadn't been said already.

I just going to repeat this: Toby and Ruth are amazing! I love their chemistry and I love their scenes togethers. Love the proposal scene, and especially love that there are kisses! More than one!!! Thing that usually costume dramas lack of... O_o

I love how Rochester pulls Jane toward him and how he places his hand on her neck *faints*

Anyway, sorry, and bear with me, but pic spams from the proposal and some kisses
