* Baby ginger isn't sick anymore, and a bit more important, he knows how to give kisses! So cute!

* [livejournal.com profile] minisinoo has started posting the sequel of Finding Himself, Dulce et decorum est.

* This morning I read a Veronica/Logan fic which plot starts in a flashback scene from 2x01: 'what if Keith wasn't home when Veronica/Logan broke up and he went all ballistic'. I really enjoyed it. You can find part 1 here and part 2 here.

* Lux Radio Theatre is my last obsession. I didn't know a lot about it but the fact that I got some of their programs from ebay featuring some of my favorite people (Douglas Fairbanks Jr., Ronald Colman, Laurence Olivier and Leslie Howard) made me go squeeeee. For those of you that don't know what I'm talking about, Lux Radio Theatre were radio programs adapting Broadway plays and movies to special one hour broadcasts. They tried to usually have the same actors from the movies to the radio programs so for example, I got The Prisoner of Zenda with Ronald Colman and Douglas Fairbanks Jr.. However there were times they couldn't like in the case of My favorite wife where instead of Cary Grant and Irene Dunne, the radio play is with Laurence Olivier and Rosalind Russell (you won't see me complaining about the change although I love Cary Grant.

You can find more about the Lux Radio Theatre at Wikipedia. And HERE there is a complete log of the programs. This morning I've just bought a compilation from ebay with more than 600 of those programs. I can't wait to get my hands on them *squee*, especially to listen to the two versions of Rebecca included (one with Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh, the other with Ronald Colman and Ida Lupino), or four from the five other plays Douglas Fairbanks Jr did, to mention a couple.

* [livejournal.com profile] the_grynne always brings the best info about upcoming movies and she made my day this morning with her post about Wanted. I'm already in for a movie with Morgan Freeman, Angelina Jolie and especially James McAvoy (all looking pretty in an action movie), but when you put them together being part of a secret society of assassins and you make a great trailer like THIS one, what can I say, I'm incredibly angry that the movie gets released here on April 4th!!! Yes! That late!!! *pouts* I can't wait that long. Btw, the official site is here.

* I started watching Long Way Down, Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman's adventure from Scotland to South Africa and I really love it! (but I wouldn't make that trip like ever, looks a bit dangerous to me)

[livejournal.com profile] mata090680 posted yesterday some amazing pics of James McAvoy. He looks so sexy in the photoshoots. H E R E

[livejournal.com profile] netnessie has posted today some great pics of Matthew MacFadyen. You find it H E R E

[livejournal.com profile] cypros, you'll be very happy after you learn about this: Beauty and the Beast season 1 will be available in dvd in February 2007!!! I think you'll get it as soon as you can! I got the information via [livejournal.com profile] elspethsheir, H E R E

Questions:

I wonder if somebody else has had this problem. I created some friends groups to filter some posts I've made lately. But, I've realized today that I think not everybody is getting access to those posts or at least they aren't featured in their friends' posts section... Don't know if it makes sense... What I'm afraid is that those people I do allow to read those filtered posts, aren't really reading them because they don't get access to them... Some help here???

And just out of curiosity, has anybody used the LJ Talk thing??? If you have, how it is? Is it good? Is it easy/friendly to use?

Silliness: Douglas Fairbanks jr / Takuya Kimura and SMAP

I can't stop watching The Rage of Paris. I know it's just a little comedy but I so love it!!! I think Douglas Fairbanks jr is so incredibly good in it and he has such great lines!!! I'm sure you'd probably say that they aren't that great... but I love when a man talks like this, that is also the way Cary Grant talks in some of his comedies too... *sigh* I'm in love! arggg!

Btw, I got some other movies and one of Fairbanks jr's books (I got two wrote by him and another one that is a biography in Ebay but I've just received one of them)...

Just a tiny warning... I may talk more about him/his movies etc... in future posts.

**Another thing: Next Monday the Takuya Kimura special dvd about the filming of Bushi no Ichibun is finally released. I can't really wait to receive my copy!!!

And December 5 or 6 (not sure here) SMAP 2006 Tour DVD is released! You can bet that will be one of my Christmas presents! Yay!

[livejournal.com profile] winterspel, [livejournal.com profile] alexandral, [livejournal.com profile] circus_sands and [livejournal.com profile] lost_for_jack (cheer up lady!) come to mind... but I really hope somebody else decides to check it out because it's worth it, believe me.

to keep the suspense, a beautiful LJ cut )

I started making a couple for myself but I decided to make some more to share.
Most of them are from Macbeth and one from Shameless, I think. They are really simple just some some color playing ;) but they are NOT bases. More to come, I think.

A couple of examples:

Okay, I was kind of preparing myself for this because I knew it was coming. I knew I will get myself into a 'watch James McAvoy's work' spree. I think he is one of the finest actors I have ever seen. He can do anything he wants and he will be great every single time.

I remember first time I saw him. I'm pretty sure it was in Foyle's War. He is in the first episode of the whole series and is a guest star not very large, really, but he caught my eye. After that, I bought Bright Young Things, first movie directed by Stephen Fry and seeing James there I thought, that face sounds familiar... and it took me a while to put two and two together. The third time was in Lorna Doone where you have to be really careful if you look for him because he wears and awful long haired wig :/

James and more James... and oh! more James under here ;) )

The sad news of John Spencer's sudden death, put end to a day, yesterday, that it was really nice in the rest of things: I got the present of a paid account, I received some of the things I bought online, all together, what it is a bit of a Christmas present situation, and I went to see The Chronicles of Narnia.

I really wanted to see the movie, for all I've read about it. I wasn't familiar with the books so for me, apart from what people have said about the story in their posts, I didn't know anything about the Narnia universe. The movie is just marvelous, really beautifully and carefully made. The cast is superb (all the boys, James McAvoy, Jim Broadbent and Tilda Swinton). The story has it all: adventure, drama, comedy, sweetness... I can't help it but my favorite thing in the movie is Lucy and Mr. Tumnus relation. It's so simple but so complex... the girl gave her hand for him to shake and in that moment she already touched Tumnus' heart. I think Georgie Henley and James McAvoy were splendig in those scenes together... so touching!!

Usually if I like something a lot, like this case, icons will come... and here they are. All Lucy and Mr. Tumnus *grin*

I've just started watching Shakespeare Retold: Macbeth and I'm posting just to mention what a beautiful thing is to have James McAvoy and Richard Armitage, both looking extremely sexy, in the same story!! What a magnificent thing is to watch James McAvoy singing in the kitchen and Richard serving delicious food to women you absolutely envy...

Just that, will have to watch the rest tomorrow... *sigh*
