I capped most of the thing because I managed to see it as I did with the Kohaku ... like more than 60 caps. These are the first 26... will add more later. They are spoilerish towards the end ;) and they are Jun (and Sho) centered... but I tried to get them all...

Over all was quite entertaining but I must confess that 3 hours it's too much VSA for me. It should be 2 hours tops! They put a lot of commercials...

The boys were adorable, I love them in traditional clothes. Jun was a good sport, as well as poor Eita... I got the impression they kept commenting or something about how quiet he was... the poor thing...

Today was the day of the TokioXArashi sp. I haven't seen all, just bits here and there (I came back to the UK today so most of the day was preparing the trip and also having New Year's lunch at my parents... really busy!)

But, I couldn't not listen to their announcement and well, it was a good thing after all! It looks so far away, the 24th hours terebi... I was in Japan when Kanjani was preparing theirs last year... Anyway, I am glad they are the main personality. They are really involved in helping the victims of the Earthquake of last march... The irony, January 1st they also had a 7.0 earthquake that affected the east of Japan (I was upset because, come on, just the beginning of the year! give them a break! I know for their standards, it wasn't huge, but well, you see... starting 2012 that way...)

I am rambling, back to the 24th terebi thing: It's the 3rd time for Arashi after 2004 and 2008... Don't you see a pattern there? every 4 years, Arashi is the main personality... I don't know if the Earthquake didn't happen if they would have been the personality in the 24th... part of me wants to believe that they would... People around LJ and tumblr are asking themselves who will be the one writing a letter... My biased self would love that Sho or/and Jun would write a letter... Part of me thinks that due to the circumstances, maybe all of them prepare a message for the people affected or for all Japanese people. I really would like them to talk about each other though, but we'll see...

Photobucket
they looked so handsome and serious...

Also, the preview for next week's shiyagare (&$/&&$·/&@~#@|~|@!!!) How cool is that! Bambino's boss! Jun looked so at ease with him, laughing and all... Apart from that they do some dance practice and Jun was laughing so much as the guy was pulling Sho's leg higher and he was shouting 'Itai! Itai!)... And after that, the appreciated cut showing sakumoto with tank tops!!! *drools*

more )

Also, there was this tine navi thing for tomorrow's Jun's n.1 show program:

the cap doesn't make him justice, me thinks. He really looked handsome.

and to complete the trio of gifs, OTP moment (have you noticed the three sakumoto fans at the back)
Jun: Have you seen these three idiot?
Sho: Yes, they are making me feel uncomfortable.
Jun: What is that stupid thing about a kiss? On national tv of all places?!
Sho: *blushing* Yes, idiots...

This should have been crossposted but the post didn't appear so I posted it myself. I know I will probably get this post twice later...

I wasn't going to post because I am doing some importing... (guess you know what it is about) and I don't really know what I will do with the comments and posts left out of that...

But well, I saw a bit of the interview Sho did in News Zero and the man he interviewed got emo and all... so I think it can be good to watch.

And being honest, Sho looked too hot in suit (as usual). Right after, Matsunii and Ohno appeared in the first special promoting their Sunday SP together... (I know they talk about Sho and Tokio's leader but I had the volume off, so can't know what it was about).

more )

My two cents about the couple of rumors/stuff going around.

1. I don't think there will be a nude photo book... but if there is one (please let it be true!) poor people at cdjapan, hope they have the site ready for that...

2. the mysterious 'announcement' to be made during the TokioxArashi SP on Sunday... I hate that they announce an announcement (wtf!) I still resent that Jun said 'I have an announcement for next week's radio show...' you know what I mean? I will spare you of my paranoid thoughts because we are in Christmas more )

It usually happens to me but today I got really angry when Sho-kun was the one left un-chosen at the end of the Mannequin Five Two lol!... What was wrong with his outfit I wonder? It was perfectly fine! He looked really hot and I don't know what special thing the others have to leave him there... I didn't pay attention to it so I don't really know what they were saying, and I got when they were already commenting on the outfits but well, it really annoyed me!

Last time with Sho (and Aiba), he also was the 4th chosen, almost didn't get picked at all and I really can't understand... Maybe I have the same 'awful' sense of style, but seriously! I think they are not fair with him (and I think with Jun it happened the same when there was Mannequin 5, so I tend to think that I'm really biased...)

Btw, isn't it a bit too much to have the same guests in all the shows in the same week... I mean these guys were in Shiyagare first, earlier today in VSA and now in HnA... it gets tiring... and (Becky last week in HnA and this one in VsA, and I like her a lot)... I know they are promoting stuff and all, but couldn't it be made differently (for example not being in all the Arashi shows?)

The same happened last week with Higashiyama san. The difference is that he made the 'Johnnys tour' instead: VSA Arashi, Kinki Kids show, TOKIO show and V6 show, and he was with Nakai in Waratte IItomo... come on... too much in so little time.... imo.

In a related note, I'll mention that I had a dream with Higashiyama san last night... We were in the same manssion (not Japanese term but as we understand in Europe, I guess) and we ate and joined other people in a garden and there was cosplay around... really weird dream, and I kind of don't like the guy too much so the dream surprised me...)

(okay I may be in a complaining mood anyway...)

KH was so so in the first one but well I managed to watch both today!

VS Arashi

I totally melt when Jun started reading a letter for a kid (I suppose it was the son/daughter of one of the other team members?) Such a lovely voice the boy has... And reading kids words... Amazing.

He also was pretty amazing in Cliff Climb (Nino and his hat too), as Aiba was in that Hockey thing. Ohno and the kid were too cute for words and Sho was quite respetable in the Jumping Shooter thing (I laughed so much watching Jun being bored in the up gate...

Poor Ohno! His face, I mean, his lovely hand covering his face was so sweet/cute... and the Most Dame Arashi when he felt... I've seen a cap around where he is scary looking and that's practically impossible!

Himitsu no Arashi

The guest was the actress playing the younger actress in Jun's Natsuniji drama... She was really funny! I was surprised.

The episode as a whole, I love it to bits!!! Nino is such a sneaky little thing... The guest mentioned she like some comedian guy (Tanoshii whatever or Shingo something) and because she asked Nino first to repeat his routine as vengeance he suggested Jun being the next.

We all know how he hates embarrashing himself... but the boy did great and with dignity... Sho laughed so much that I thought he was going to explode or something... Is it just me or Sho laughs in a different way if we are talking about Jun... probably it just me being biased. Sho was practically crying and the other three were laughing so much (they aren't used to Jun caving in and being a bit goofy... I guess)

Seriously my love goes to Jun in this episode and so goes the vip room guest because she chose him.

And Mannequin Five was pretty cool too. Jun was chosen first which I think I lifted his mood too, and second was Ohno, I think... Poor Nino was left unsold (that happens when you are a naughty boy and ambush your bandmates into doing ridiculous things lol!)

I know these two parts were probably filmed quite separately but anyway...

I really enjoyed both of them because after a couple of weeks where I thought Jun wasn't having fun, these two episodes I finally saw him having a great time and being even more involved than before... Again these are personal appreciations, I may be wrong.

Btw, I think he cut his hair a bit again (at the top mainly)

Okay, let's see if I don't make a mess of this post and don't get you all asleep... I won't re-read it too much because if I do so, I won't post it at all :S

Firs of all, I'm happy when Arashi is happy. So that means, if they're glad to be hosting Kouhaku, I'll be.

However since I learned about the news I have reservations about it.

I've read that they had considered Sho as host and that's okay with me since I think he has the potencial to be a great host. He is really good for what I've seen so far (I really like his communication and improvisation skills in News Zero and in all the Arashi shows). I agree that he doesn't have the experience but he has to get it practising, right? The point is then, if Kouhaku is the place to get it and my answer is no. So, for that, I think they did the right thing choosing the five of them to host.

However I'm also wonder (and I'm a bit concerned) about how the five will work together to make it works. Usually in their shows Ohno and Aiba doesn't speak too much. Usually is Sho the one that talks the most and Nino and Jun speaking here and there. It's a show too long and I don't want them to fail (which I'm sure it won't be the case because they're awesome and everybody likes them right now, but still, I'm worried). Besides Matsushita Nao is also new here which can lead to awkward moments/silences/laughs... you name it. I really hope that doesn't happen either.

Me being me, I would have chosen Nakai and Sho as hosts, together. That would have been so cool and also would have showed to those who are waiting to get bad gestures between them that there is no meat for them there...

As somebody else has said in a post I'm going to recommend below, I would have choosen Arashi as hosts in the upcoming years, not now. They're too busy, too pressured and too much in the spotline and present everywhere and people eventually get tired of things (right? I don't but I think a lot of people may). I don't want that happening to them. I want them to last as much as SMAP and be as succesful as them or even more if that's the case...

Regarding Arashi/SMAP relationship I tend to see things and get paranoid, probably without a reason.

I think part of the media/fans/etc is expectantly waiting any SMAP/Arashi interation (for good or for bad, not sure which one more).

I must confess that I'd love that their relationship flowed more easily. What I've seen I kind of don't like it too much. In some Music Stations and other shows they being together SMAP is pretty cold toward Arashi members, not hostile but pretty cold. Nakai doesn't seem to have a problem with them, and Tsuyoshi either, since he complimented them in one show (can't remember which one), but the rest... I dunno. Kimura looks like the coldest one but I can't be sure it's me who sees that or if it really is that way.

On the other hand, is also true that I don't see an easier relationship of SMAP with any other JE band, so maybe they handle Arashi as they handle the rest...

I'm pretty sure Arashi respect SMAP a lot, not only as their sempais but also because of what being SMAP means. After all they grew up watching how SMAP reached the top, exactly where they are aiming now.

I think it's imposible for Matsujun, for example, ignore Kimura as reference (I mention Matsujun because I've seen gestures/moves in him than remind me of Kimura), as well as Sho has to have Nakai as reference when we're talking about hosting activities...

more on SMAP, their dealings with Arashi and me wondering if it's time to past the torch )

just a bit more about JE handling the bands )

Final note:

Just to be safe: I love Arashi, I'm fan of them, I love them all and I only want the best for them (in return for all the great times they offer me). I really hope they succeed as host of the 61st Kouhaku or whatever else they decide to do. But I have to offer my thoughts about it and about that secret everybody talks about that is considering them the next SMAP.

This long-as-hell post has been triggered by several things:

One of them being the fact that I started watching Arashi concert from 2000 and the second or third song they sang was The Road, one of my all time SMAP's fav songs! so I started wondering if SMAP performed that song in concerts or live (I haven't found it) and how much I'd have loved to watch them sing it. I love how Arashi sang it, that's why I wanted to watch SMAP singing it too, to compare ;) but I started watching SMAP concerts and I re-watch how incredibly cool they were are...

The other have been a couple of posts about Arashi and SMAP:

I read THIS ARTICLE dated a bit more than a year ago and I think everything is said there is still news. I totally agree with the opinion the blogger offers below the article (seriously I really recommend it).

[livejournal.com profile] yanie02 made an entry HERE talking about Arashi being chosen for the Kouhaku and the comments made to that post deals with a lot of the things I mention in this post too.

So, in a bit starts Himitsu no Arashi with Kanjani8 in the Mannequin Five section... Yay!! (hope I can watch it all, which I think I won't be able to... but well, at least the beginning of the section *hopes*)--> ETA: my connection with KH tv was so awful that I couldn't watch almost anything *sigh* Good thing they started with Mannequin Five that way I could know what happened more or less.

I do know that Matsujun looked incredibly hot and handsome and was chosen ;), as well as Ohno and Sho; Ryo won over Nino (poor Nino! but Ryo looked like a bit shy or something or was my bad connection? good thing his hand is healed!)

Cant' wait for the whole thing to watch it properly.

Anyway, just a minute ago I learned (via a community devoted to Juui Dolittle) that Shun and part of the cast (don't know yet if all) will be in that same section in the episode airing Nov 11!!! *happy dance*

I really enjoy the programs where Jun and Shun have been together. I'm especially fond of that VS Arashi with Tokyo Dogs cast. *sigh* Their interaction is so fantastic! Love how Shun talks to Jun and vice versa! love them!!

I can't wait for that episode to air. Btw, has that one been subbed, because I'd love to watch it to get it all ;)

Countdown til 11 Nov... uff... a lot of days yet *pout*

Here are a couple of twitter posts of Kasahara Hideyuki about it: 1 and 2.

PS not related to this... but I was going to check Drama Wiki and it seems D-addicts is down like the domain has to be renewed??? Does anybody know more about this??? *getting anxious*

I would love to know which Arashi no Shukudai-kun does this belong to:

Poor Aiba didn't want to dress as a soldier and Nino looks so very cute as a Chinese girl. Jun is the lucky one because he always gets the kakkoii costumes and he's the ooji-sama (although I think he says something of the lines that what he's wairing isn't kakkoii at all... Ohno dresses as a schoolgirl, and Sho as a primary-shooler, so cute!

The quality from the yt link isn't that good, sorry for the quality of the caps.

Any suggestions about the airing date or episode number of this would be appreciate it, as well as any other info about other Arashi cosplay moments!! ;) I want to watch them!!! Thank you!

I would love to know which Arashi no Shukudai-kun does this belong to:

Guess who received her Arashi's Boku no miteiru fukei LE? That's right! I'm really happy and I really like it (so far)!! *happy dance* Thank you [livejournal.com profile] stellabymo0r!!!

I haven't listened the second cd but the first one is really great. I absolutely love Sho's, Jun's and Aiba's solos!!!! I don't know which one I like the most (Jun's probably but because I can't help it!)

Refrain is such a beautiful song!!

I'll scan the booklet to make some icons or something because they look too cute for words (I know it's around but I prefer to use my scans to avoid all the asking permission or crediting...)

And... thanks to KeyHoleTV I half-watched Vs Arashi SP!!! I saw a bit of the part with Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz but just the end of it. I'm guessing, though, that they had a great time because recalling Cameron Diaz in SmapxSmap and the blast SMAP had with her.

The second part couldn't have been better: Kaname Jun!!! I heart this guy!

I can't wait to watch (properly) the whole thing.

It weird but I can't watch KeyHoleTV during the afternoon as nicely as I can at night... Don't know if it's for the number of people connected watching that particular tvshow or because here at that time is still working hour and the connection can't be better... dunno.
