For all Sho-kun has invested on this, all the effort, all the promotion, seriously it's worth it... because everybody should watch this! He is a great Kageyama and in comedy he is really good, but allow me to say that he simply is amazing here!!! I thought that being aired so close to Nazodi some people may have a problem changing from that character to this one, but not at all, there is no need of transition because the moment Blackboard started he wasn't Sho-kun or Kageyama or any body else, he became Shirahama sensei. I was speechless with the start and throughout it I kept being in awe of his work.

I cried, I worried, I got heartbroken... It's a fantastic drama, really touching telling a story of a man in a delicate/difficult moment in the story of Japan. I read, I think it was in the Cut interview (translated by lovely [livejournal.com profile] shojunniji), that he was interested because it was WWII and he liked it when he was a student and also war issues really matter to him... So this had all he had dreamt of and it gave him the chance (for being who he is) to reach viewers that maybe starring some other actor it wouldn't have been possible.

He is hurting so much during most of it trying to deal with his past for which he feels guilty (or seems so) and trying to see where he fits in the future...

Will just say this: there are a lot of scenes where you just want to hold him and tell him that everything will be okay. The moment with his mom (you'll know when you watch it) I was crying buckets!

There is this huge speech towards the end that I really wish I could get more of it... It's quite long and touching just for the way he delivers it but I didn't get too much. I had tears in my eyes anyway. And when he writes 'mirai' in the blackboard *cries* and what he says after that!! So beautiful!

I wrote in a previous post how he gave a book about Mindanao to the director of the drama and now I know why. It is supposed he lost his arm in that battle (I am currently reading about it at Wikipedia since although I love WWII, being in Europe we tend to focus in our front and the Pacific is a bit unknown to us).

I am not posting pics so I don't spoil too much. Just found funny that he even got the chance to speak English (the longest I've heard him!)

But please give this a chance, even if you don't like historic dramas or you think this is too serious for you, it is not! He is amazing! I won't get tired of saying so!

Well I am not making it justice anyway, but give it a try!

stuff removed and posted in a later post... sorry! (edited on April 7th)

*cries* This is so good... sorry for the spamming... but the drama looks so amazing! Facing his students, meeting old students... omg! (need tissues)
I wonder how much he had to practice writing with his left hand, it really looks neat...

Thursday morning TBS aired brief news about Matsushima Mao being cast at the main character for Blackboard SP drama episode 3 (NEWS's Shige seems to star in that one too). To illustrate the news they showed like seconds of episode 1 (a scene with Sho) and episode 2 (starring Sato Koichi), but it was enough to get me excited.

I squeed pretty badly... Sho looks so awesome! And the rest of the SP drama has my attention too... I have a thing for school dramas, I guess.

This one was aired in TBS's Hiroobi on Monday around 11 am.

It showed images not aired in the one at 6 am. The moment where he is trying to write kanjis (his family name) with his left hand ;_; *crying rivers already* broke my heart and his nephew saying 'daijoubu!' *more crying*

It was an okayishhh drama. I mean the cast was awesome and Ohno was really good. I actually enjoyed him a lot there. The chemistry between him and Yui was great too, I think.

For me it looked like one of these movies full of plot twists that you kind of know will be coming (some of them, not all, I am not that good) and that gets most of the character link to each other in some way.

Ohno's part is kind of hugable... the guy really wants to be a superhero and when the chance comes, he really tries. Besides I think Ohno looks mighty find in this drama, so that was another reason to enjoy it.

However I do admit that it was a bit boring in some parts, actually not-Ohno parts.

Sho's and Jun's cameos were so shorts!!! I didn't get the chance cap Sho, but seeing Kageyama with one of his disguises... *cries* I missed him so much. And Jun's cameo... I laughed so much. He's always the lucky guy...

I did get a cap of Jun and some other stuff, so spoilers ahead )

I capped most of the thing because I managed to see it as I did with the Kohaku ... like more than 60 caps. These are the first 26... will add more later. They are spoilerish towards the end ;) and they are Jun (and Sho) centered... but I tried to get them all...

Over all was quite entertaining but I must confess that 3 hours it's too much VSA for me. It should be 2 hours tops! They put a lot of commercials...

The boys were adorable, I love them in traditional clothes. Jun was a good sport, as well as poor Eita... I got the impression they kept commenting or something about how quiet he was... the poor thing...

Today was the day of the TokioXArashi sp. I haven't seen all, just bits here and there (I came back to the UK today so most of the day was preparing the trip and also having New Year's lunch at my parents... really busy!)

But, I couldn't not listen to their announcement and well, it was a good thing after all! It looks so far away, the 24th hours terebi... I was in Japan when Kanjani was preparing theirs last year... Anyway, I am glad they are the main personality. They are really involved in helping the victims of the Earthquake of last march... The irony, January 1st they also had a 7.0 earthquake that affected the east of Japan (I was upset because, come on, just the beginning of the year! give them a break! I know for their standards, it wasn't huge, but well, you see... starting 2012 that way...)

I am rambling, back to the 24th terebi thing: It's the 3rd time for Arashi after 2004 and 2008... Don't you see a pattern there? every 4 years, Arashi is the main personality... I don't know if the Earthquake didn't happen if they would have been the personality in the 24th... part of me wants to believe that they would... People around LJ and tumblr are asking themselves who will be the one writing a letter... My biased self would love that Sho or/and Jun would write a letter... Part of me thinks that due to the circumstances, maybe all of them prepare a message for the people affected or for all Japanese people. I really would like them to talk about each other though, but we'll see...

Photobucket
they looked so handsome and serious...

Also, the preview for next week's shiyagare (&$/&&$·/&@~#@|~|@!!!) How cool is that! Bambino's boss! Jun looked so at ease with him, laughing and all... Apart from that they do some dance practice and Jun was laughing so much as the guy was pulling Sho's leg higher and he was shouting 'Itai! Itai!)... And after that, the appreciated cut showing sakumoto with tank tops!!! *drools*

more )

Also, there was this tine navi thing for tomorrow's Jun's n.1 show program:

the cap doesn't make him justice, me thinks. He really looked handsome.
