Oh my! It's bad watching episodes unsubbed but it's even worse when they end in a terrible cliffhanger!! Now I have to wait a week for the next episode! Episode 7 was good but episode 8 is even better. Very, very good. I really enjoyed it! It has cute Inoue/Ogata moments! *dances happy* It's so bad that the series is approaching the last episode... *cries*

The other night, staying awake way after my bedtime :S I watched this Korean romantic comedy... because although I haven't said a thing here (yet, I'm going to right now) I have a crush on Lee Dong-Gun (or Geon), and it happened in the most stupid way, believe me. )

I have always found curious, since one of my Japanese teachers explained to me after I commented to her something funny I saw in a SMAPxSMAP, the thing about blog types in Japan (and some other Asian countries). She explained to me that blood types there are something that have influence in people's life and that some people believe in them like others in horoscopes (if I'm wrong, sorry, it's what I got from our conversation). They are also considered as something to have in mind when you're looking for your ideal other half because blood types in some way determined personality, that's why even agencies that arrange marriages or dating services have them as elements to have in mind while doing their job. For what I've read, from Japan arrived to other Asian countries, South Korea included. more )

I feel like I'm the only one interested in this series, but that's okay... I just have a great time watching it. Here's my weekly report, a bit late (I may get tired of writing about this, but for now I'm still in the mood).

just some thoughts with spoilers )

Okay, this is mainly for [livejournal.com profile] syliasyliasylia who asked for more details about Heist, the new series starring Dougray Scott, before falling for it, since she is fan of too many series (as we all are weren't!)

Anyway, plot, opinion and spoiler from episode 1 under here, and three pics )

Last night I felt asleep watching tv... ahem, I do that some days... when I woke up a movie had just started and as it looked nice, I mean, it had ingredients I like: costume drama, adventure, romance, handsome men in uniforms, British actors... So I watched the rest.

Its title: St. Ives. Keep reading ;) )

This was one of my favorite movies for a while when I was in high school... I decided to rewatch it and write about it because I think it's worth it (and also because I think it isn't so so bad as the ratings in its page at IMDb may indicate!)

Mafia boys in tux this way! )

I've decided to make icons instead of screen captures this time.

I had wanted to watch this for a long time... Finally today I did (I tried to watch it one night not long ago but I felt asleep, not because the movie was boring, that it isn't at all!, but because it was around 4 am!)

The reasons for me to watch it were mainly two: first, it was a Sherlock Holmes movie; second, the cast: Richard Roxburgh as Holmes and Ian Hart as Watson were just promissing... and if to them we add Richard E. Grant... It was all I needed.

Before going further about the movie I have to say that I quite liked it and that I've had fun watching it, that is the same to say that I recommend it ;)

Today I watched Election, Johnnie To's latest movie to date.
The movie starring Simon Yam, Tony Leung Ka Fai, Louis Koo, Nick Cheung and Gordon Lam, tells  how Wo Sing triad elects the person to be the next chairman in the society.

The two candidates are 'always-under-control' Lok (Simon Yam), 'easily-lose-control' Big D (Tony Leung Ka Fai). Big D buys the votes of some old uncles in the society but Uncle Teng defends Lok because unity is what he thinks is more important. Lok keeps a low profile about the election, trying to live a normal life with his son and just say what he will do if he is the elected president. Meanwhile Big D is always showing off, losing temper and making scenes, at the same time that he menaces and attacks whoever looks like is going to vote against him. Uncle Teng and the old uncles decide to choose Lok, because he means unity, and that makes Big D to take another action: he gets men loyal to him to steal the kind of sceptre that usually passes from one chairman to the next for around one hundred years (I think). Those loyal to Lok try to retrieve it for him to become officially 'the boss', among them, and at the beginning a bit reluctant to take Lok's side, Jimmy (Louis Koo) and Jet (Nick Cheung).

I was really curious to check this out, not only because Robert Pattinson has a part there, but also because Samuel West was there as well. I watched it between last night and this afternoon and I liked it although not to the point of being totally crazy about it.
The story is based in a Germany Myth that from where it is said J. R. R. Tolkien also got inspiration for his Lord of the Rings (and also Wagner for his opera The Ring of the Nibelungs).

the story, my opinion and peachy pics under here ;)  )
