Somebody should really stop me because I'm having too much fun with this.

I thought because I got the impression watching Moonlight that Josef knew a lot about the early days of Coraline as vampire that would be cool to get flash-backs of both of them back at those times... but I don't think that will happen as soon as I'd like, so...

this is how I imagine Coraline in the XIX century, more of less )

I really enjoyed that little scene between Beth and Josef in Moonlight's latest episode... so,

a manip )

My intention was making it clear as the Josef/Coraline ones but well, it's not possible atm. It's not perfect but I just can't work on it anymore, at least not tonight, because I'm drained (but I wanted to at least post it). It has textures already included, so that's why it has these black stains here and there. I was working in a header but I haven't finished it either.

The image of Sophia is from Underworld because I think she looks gorgeous there.

I had in mind a Beth (looking more vampire like)/Mick manip but that will have to wait too.

So now I have two Josef/Coraline manip and one Beth/Josef. Do you see any constant there??

Btw, the Josef/Coraline manips can be found in the links below:

http://ginger001.livejournal.com/130540.html
http://ginger001.livejournal.com/129842.html

Ah! If you decide you like the manip and want to use it, please comment and credit. These time a lot of time to make. Thanks ;)

As usual I wanted to post earlier but baby ginger got a bit sick and we've been kind of busy with him the whole weekend. Everybody says that is what happens when babies started assisting the nursery school. For me it was just a very awful experience to see how weak and uncomfortable he was yesterday, the poor thing!

Anyway, I had my short session of tv, watched Ugly Betty and Moonlight and discovered Secret Diary of a Call Girl, with Billie Piper, which I really enjoyed watching.

SPOILERS ahead about those three series.

Ugly Betty was good as usual. I really liked Daniel and Alexis good brotherly relationship but all knew it was doomed as Alexis was likely to remember everything eventually, and well, she did. I wonder what will happen next between them. I'm also curious about the new plot line with Christina's husband. Betty and Henry's thing was touching but it was time already they took that decision! However the best thing ever in that episode was Marc and his -I hope- boyfriend. He's so cute (M's boyfriend) that Marc would lose points if he decided not to be with him. They're so great together. I so can imagine them dating and sharing each other's lives...

I can't help shed a tear every single time Hilda talks about Santos, and this time that she was talking to Justin and both were trying to deal with the reality of their lost, I just couldn't help it. That for me is a sign that means 'tv show well made'.

Secret Diary of a Call Girl is what its title says. I like the tone of the series, I really like that Billie's character is talking to the camera us, telling her story as she sees it, the pros, the cons, how it works, who she meets, how they are... To me it seems that Billie is confident about playing this part and also enjoying it. And another thing I really like is that Billie's body isn't like a model's (I hope you get what I mean) she has curves, not a lot, but she isn't just bones and in fact I think she is really beautiful and looks good in the outfits and all. Anyway if you want to watch something kind of hot, watch it. Besides the guy playing her closest friend, Ben, is pretty interesting too.

About Moonlight. I think I didn't comment about episode 4 either. I enjoyed it. In fact I like every episode a bit more than the previous one, so that's good! I really like the way things are going for Mick and Beth and to my surprise, Beth is turning into a very interesting character. I love the way she handled everything vampires/Mick related and the chemistry between she and Mick is great imo.

Episode 5 was a blast. Seriously, I think is the best one so far. It has so many great moments... Read more... )

I still have some episodes of Veronica Mars season 3 un-watched, but I can't help it since I know what is coming after Veronica resolved the r*pe case. I've seen things here and there, like Parker's birthday party, when Logan find Veronica and Piz making out... and most of the last three episodes.

I really like the Veronica/Logan tiny moments in those three episodes. I adore Logan's love loyalty for Veronica. How he goes straight to Piz and beats the hell out of him because it was Veronica's honor we were talking about!

I think I haven't commented what I think about the end of the series. I didn't want to watch it because a lot of people were disappointed. I am disappointed that they cancelled the series, and although there could have been a better end for the series, that meaning an obvious Veronica and Logan getting together again (and a passionate kiss or similar would have been fantastic), it wasn't terribly bad.

I mean I'm pretty sure it is not just in my head that Veronica looked at Logan in a different way, smiled like she just remembered all she loved about him, and when Logan apologized to Piz, 'for everything' I read/heard: 'I'm sorry I hit you and I'm sorry I'm going to get Veronica back because we're meant for each other'. And the look in Piz's face says he knows it. In that moment he knows he has no chance with Veronica. It's always been Logan, although she tried, and for that I'm kind of content with the end, although it's not perfect or totally close (as Roswell was).

Besides, in that last fight I just confirmed what I've been thinking since I started watching Veronica Mars, and that is that Jason Dohring is really good at feigning fights. The way he moves and everything makes totally believable. I remember thinking that he'd been great in 'The Fight Club' if that movie was filmed now (then he was too young, maybe). And that also remind me that I thought he would be great in a show/movie where he played a tough guy like Logan. Definitely he's not a pants with suspenders kind of guy.

Oh, and in another Jason Dohring related note, somebody posted at [livejournal.com profile] moonlight_tv spoilers from episode 10, that is Josef centric. Yippee! Although I'm not sure I should be happy since it can be the possibility of limited Josef's presence in the series and that is a 'no, no, no'! So I have mixed feelings: I'm happy there is a Josef episode, but I really hope is a good one.

I mentioned in my previous post that there were some ideas about Josef/Coraline/Mick that crossed my mind after watching episode 103 'Dr. Feelgood'.

I didn't explain it was an idea for a little fic (ficlet, really). I don't consider myself a fic writer because the language thing (not being my first one and all) I may not choose the right words to explain what I want, and some other mistakes. But it was shouting me to put it to paper so I did and I decided to post it. If somebody else more gifted than I am in writing fics decides she likes the idea and want to write more about it (= a longer fic) I'd love to read it.

I really don't have the time or energy to watch a lot series weekly. I try to keep my weekly dosis of Navy NCIS and Bones, but I failed this week. However I always find time for my two favorite shows: Ugly Betty and Moonlight.

I didn't comment on Ugly Betty season premiere because I really didn't have a lot to offer that hasn't already been said but I enjoyed it very much. I knew Hilda and Santos wasn't real but nevertheless I cried like a baby at the end. Poor Hilda.

Episode two was also great. I especially love the interaction between Mark and Justin and the fact that Christina finally told Henry about Charlie.

But I do have something to say about episode three, and that is that I absolutely love Gio! I was all 'allright, I'm sure you're exaggerating' when I read some entries from my flist about it, but boy were those entries correct or what! Gio is fabulous! As much as a Henry/Betty fan I am, I can't help but having the secret desire of Gio and Betty being together.

Let's face it. Henry is adorable in a geeky way. He's sweet and cute and you want to hold him and treat him with care. But I don't think he will complete Betty's character the way Gio can (with just the info I have from watching him in this episode). Maybe it's because I'm all for the banter and the clash of opinions, feelings, characters... But Gio seems to have the potential to offer Betty all the perfect boyfriend for Betty should give.

And I'm not comparing Gio to Daniel because I don't have the energy, really. I practically love all the male characters in this series so that means that I even could find okay the idea of Betty and Daniel but well, let's not go there and let's focus in Gio for now.

Btw, I think it was in episode two where Amanda gets Fey's dog and this guy arrives and complains about the smell... I cried out 'Deputy Leo!' *hearts in a stupid way* (he looks better in UB).

Now changing to my second love, or better said, a different kind of love: Moonlight. Oh, I was so impatient to see how Beth dealed with the fact that Mick was a vampire. I didn't expect the 'okay, you're a vampire, let's move on' kind of reaction, to be sincere, but it wasn't bad. I was expecting Josef's tongue-lashing about it as worried as he seems about people knowing about 'them', but I guess I'll have to wait for that.

I enjoyed the episode, I don't know if it was the case or the new interaction between Mick and Beth, or the flashbacks with Coraline, that I must admit, I enjoyed very much.

The thing is that after watching the episode I got some questions that I'd like to get answered...

I wonder... Does Coraline know Josef? If so, did they meet before or after she knew Mick? If she does know him, which kind of relationship do they have?

In fact after watching the episode I got a strange idea stuck in my head about the possibility of Coraline and Josef knowing each other. Have I read something about it somewhere? Is just my imagination? I'll post more about it later, I'm pretty sure I will.

I'm incredibly impatient to know how Mick and Josef met and how they became friends and why do they keep this friendship where clearly they have so different life styles.

Does Josef have a lot of friends? Because it seems he has just a few among vampires, but he also seems powerful... so I'd like to know more about this. If he doesn't have a lot of friends and have problems with other vampires, what happened there?

How, and more important, who turned Josef into a vampire? It was supposed to be around 1600... I so want to know flashbacks of this!!!

This weekend we're been busy with two weddings and family reunions so a bit late, here are my brief comments/thoughts about Moonlight 102:

I enjoyed this episode a lot of more than I did with the pilot, but that's something that happens frequently, so not news really. I also liked the interactions between the characters and I understand them a bit better (why they are what they are and why their opinions and visions of things are like they are). For example, why Beth is working for that sensationalist media and not for a serious one, how could she after being kidnapped and saved from said kidnapping by vampires :S

Also, I see Josef/Mick interaction/relationship clearer. It was more for gestures and faces from both of them more than for words, but here I really saw the 'vulnerability' of Mick because he's a younger vampire and as Josef says, he has morals and scruples (and he's so very naïve comparing to Josef) vs. Josef's (bitter if you wish) vision of life after centuries living among mortals and other vampires. It seems to me that Josef doesn't have a lot of friends, period. So in some strange way he values Mick's more than he'd in other situation (for a man who has everything and has a knowledge and a control of the world he lives in pretty great).

I really enjoyed the guess start of the actress from Invasion (that I first saw in an episode of Without A Trace, btw) and I really enjoyed the end, although I'd have finished the episode without Mick saying the word 'vampire', don't know it'd look better to me that way, but that's being picky.

Love hurting Mick, poor thing. That last sequence: Mick getting injured, being saved by Beth, leaving and reaching home close to fall unconscious, was great and his desperation broke my heart.

I saw the episode after we came back from the weddings (yes plural, long story) and I was pretty tired (high heels and baby ginger isn't a good mix) but even pretty tired as I was, and although there were moments that I thought the episode was slow, I really enjoyed it.

Besides, we got Jason Dohring in a black leather jacket, so I really don't have any complain. *evil grin*

Waiting expectantly the upcoming episode. Just one thing: TPTB are evil, because they know we're getting comfortable and attached to the series and one day the'll wake up and say 'let's cancel Moonlight' *cross finger for now* ;)

I don't know if anybody else has been in this situation, when you really have a lot of things to post about but you're attention is in somewhere else (I don't mean real life, but some fandom or tv show or thing that get all your attention/time)? Because although I know I may sound boring, I still am in a huge Veronica Mars phase and I'm devouring fics like crazy, so although I do have other things to post about (in fact I have a list) I can't do it, because my computer time is limited and the temptation is too much...

Yep, that's what I've done the last few days. There are great fics out there and I really should make a post with more recommendations. I'm sad that the series ended and now people would move on and will forget about this great fandom and LoVe. *sigh*

Today, something make me smile and also wonder... Something related to this fear of 'no more vm fics' and it's the fact that people have already started writing Moonlight fics and to my surprise, somebody wrote a crossover fic Moonlight/Heroes, with Josef/Elle (I didn't know that is Kristen Bell's name in the series). I haven't read it because I haven't seen the new Heroes eps yet (although I'm pretty sure Kristen is not there yet).

Another thought that came to my mind is that it'd be kind of sad that JD's series sunk while Kristen's is all going more than well. And I wondered if JD should have chosen another project instead of Moonlight (although I'm not complaining, mind you, Josef is potentially an interesting character). I can't wait to watch episode 2 to see how things are. Oh, btw, HERE is the link to the fic I mention.

Btw, if somebody have some recommendation of fics where Logan gets hurt and Veronica takes care of him/realizes how much he loves her (and she loves him back). I'm a sucker for those fics because in most of those cases, Logan is saving Veronica's ass when she's been unfair to him in some way, or, Veronica is not sure about what is Logan's place in her life (trusting issues, doubts, Logan 'trying' to make her change, you choose the reason).

So as I say, if you know of one of those fic, I may have read it but maybe I haven't and I'd love to.

I even got ideas for fics that I probably won't write, but it has been ages since I feel that thrill about a fandom. I'm totally losing it (for a fandom) when: I can't stop watching pieces of the episodes, I can't stop reading fics, I get ideas for fics. In fact, that is more or less the order ;)

Talking about Heroes, it seems that all the cast of Heroes have a lot of fun together. [livejournal.com profile] the_grynne posted a link to some pics of the Heroes girls bowling, HERE and they're really look like they're enjoying themselves (take a look at Masi Oka's face in the couple of pics where Kristen is talking to Hayden Panettiere it's too cute to miss). And I love Kristen Bell's hair!

Returning to Jason Dohring and Moonlight. Somebody posted HERE a great wallpaper of Josef, that I couldn't help but start using as my current desktop image.

And I also found another delicious thing posted in one of the Moonlight communities. When hot is the hottest )
