I've been in a weird mood, probably can be called apathetic since yesterday morning, but I wanted to post things that happened yesterday and today, so,
I completely changed my sleeping schedule because yesterday I had to wake up at 7 a.m. (I usually wake up a bit later) because I had a Chinese exam at 9 a.m. quite far from where I live. It was an easy exam because it was a First Level exam and I am a bit beyond that ;)
Later on mr. ginger and I went to FNAC (he took me to the exam and waited until I finished the exam, just 1 hour) and surprisingly I found some things: Richard E. Grant's book 'The Wah-Wah Diaries', the narration of his experience directing his first movie (I was going to buy it online anyway), a book with photographs by Robert Doisneau and a dvd: Prison on Fire, a Chow Yun-Fat movie that is quite shocking to watch. It has some very dramatic (and violent) moments but I think it's one of the best of him... I may talk about it one day.
However I left some stuff there I want because it was quite expensive, like North & South (Patrick Swayze & James Read version), Fraggle Rock or The Constant Gardener... I'll buy them but I'll have to wait.
We were going to watch X3 but decided otherwise because we were both pretty tired. Besides, I can't help but remember all the comments I've read about it and I don't want it to disappoint me more than I know it will, so... I just wait a bit longer.
When I was back home I read a great post by
dangermousie about Fanaa, the last Aamir Khan movie. You can read it here.
I was already interested since some time ago I think she also posted about the music and made a pic spam... It looks beautiful, dramatic, sad, with an impressive work of both, Aamir and Kajol (the actress). The thing is that the movie was released this last Friday and of course, not here! I so want to see it!!
I'm still quite ignorant about Bollywood movies but I fell from Aamir Khan since I watched Mangal Pandey, so it really is Toby Stephens' fault, lol!
I went in an Aamir Khan spree but the movies are quite expensive!!! so I had to restrain myself.
However I did find a shocking thing today (not Bollywood related). It's been 10 years since Wong Kar Wai made Happy Together and Yesasia is releasing this amazing box full of goodies! Read:
# The 10th Anniversary edition of Happy Together comes with: a digitally remastered DVD with DTS sound
# 24-bit soundtrack
# 2 folded Happy Together "Re-Union" posters, namely the original Cannes version and the 1997-2006 10th Anniversary version
# a set of 8 postcards
# a Happy Together boxer
# a lamp featuring the Iguazu Falls*, resembling that in the film.
# a numbered certificate
They come in a specially designed boxset, also bearing the serial number, and this edition is limited to 2046 copies worldwide only! Shipment of this product will be automatically upgraded to "Express Service" for free.
Here's the link in case you want to check the pic and see how the lamp works.
What it may stop people from getting this is the awful, awful price!!! And it's even a more expensive version that comes with a poster ^_^'
