I've just received my SMAP magazine. I have to say it has beautiful stylish photoshoots! The guys look incredibly hot!!! I hope I can scan my favs or something.

Yesterday I got annoyed because Yokohama radio station wasn't in my KH so I couldn't listen to Arashi Discovery. It better be back!!!

I tried to watch (and tried is the key word because I don't know why KH during prime time in Japan -which are working hours here- I received it really bad, freezes, pixelates all screen...) Nagareboshi. What I watched I liked it. Goro is quite evil and does a fantastic job. Really like Yutaka Takenouchi's part and first episode ends interesting.

I tried to watch Freeter and although I liked Nino a lot! and Naoto Takenaka too! I think I'll have to check it out properly because it didn't grab me.

I'm planning watching Guilty, Perfect Report and Reinoryokusha Odagiri Kyoko no Uso (what a title! I won't be able to remember it ever!)

So, Himitsu no Arashi with Kanjani8 will air October 28th. Yay!! And the theme for the Mannequin Five section they will be at is 'Clothes for an Autumn date'. Can't wait!!! (read in kanjani8 comm.)

It seems that Okada Junichi will be in next week's Bistro SMAP promoting SP The Movie that opens October 30th.

And I've just read in a ss501 comm that they will be back with new album at the beginning of 2011. Yay!

* Watched Joker episode 10 raw... and I don't know what to say. I mean, I like it (I was right) but as I missed a lot of dialog, I've just deduced things that maybe are just in my imagination... so before I talk more about it, I must watch it with subs. However, da**! Kudo was left without a kiss?!?! $&&%!"&"%·%&/&·! He really looked cute at the end of the episode, though...

* I'm currently watching Arashi Anniversary Tour 5x10 concert... for now all I can say is: I love them! *squee*

* I have Arashi's song 'My Girl' stuck in my head for a couple of days already... such a lovely song! I've watched episode 1 of the drama with the same title and Aiba is the cuttest and sweetest dad ever!!

* Talking about Aiba, I read a translation from one of his radio show and I laughed so much. It was the first I listened so I wasn't familiar with it. It seems it has a section where people send emails or letters with embarrassing situations that happened to them. In this one a girl told how she had to use the toilets of a store and she was finishing, she didn't close the door properly and a man came into. She was just pulling her underwear up and to her embarrasment realized she had just given directions to that same guy. After reading this Aiba said that that happened to him recently. The man (can't recall his name) in the radio show with him commented something like 'So, they meet with Arashi in the bathroom!. Aiba's dilemma was that in that and future possible situations like that he still didn't know what was the wise thing to do, covering his face or his private parts. The other man and him kept considering the options and finally the other man, very eloquently said something like 'while you're Arashi, cover your face.' Maybe it doesn't sound that funny when you read it like that, but believe it was (maybe because I was imagining his face while he considered his options and also imagine him absolutely embarrassed caught in the situation. lol! btw, the translation came from this wonderful place: [livejournal.com profile] amnosxmatsujun

* NEWS unplugged looks really nice. Yamapi and Ryo looked more than fine ;)

* I've watched the long Athena trailer. If you haven't seen it, check it out. Siwon is in a scene where he turns around while aiming his gun... *hot hot* When does it start?

* Rain's Runaway looks good as well but I have to say that the first time I saw the promotional poster, I said two things: "OMG! Daniel Henney!" and "OMG! MBLAQ's Lee Joon!"... Well, it wasn't Lee Joon but Rain, but he really looked like him! The thing is that I'm not very fond of Rain so I was more excited when I thought it was Lee Joon the one starring in it.

* Looking forward to Yutaka Takenouchi's new drama that starts next October. Plot: He's an Aquarium employee with a secret and Aya Ueto is a woman working the 'sex trade' who end up in a contract marriage. Its title Nagareboshi.

Oh my, I'm so hooked to Joker that I can't wait for subbed episodes... That will re-teach me a lesson it seems I have forgotten: wait til the drama has ended and it's completely subbed, you idi**!

- I'm trying not to be too spoilerish but be warned just in case -

Anyway, I have just finished episode 3 and OMG! it's getting so interesting. Love all the characters. Asuka, Date and Kudo make a great team. Now I wonder how things will evolve now that Kudo is part of the team. I'd love to know more about his past and of course Date's past. And I'd love to see Asuka's reaction when she discovers everything, which I'm sure will happen soon-ish.

I need to watch more of this!!!

And it's not only with Joker. I loooveee Unubore Deka. Tomoya Nagase is perfect for the main part!! How can he be so perfect for a part!? I truly think it was written having him in mind.

I'm neglecting Hotaru no Hikari 2 at the moment because I'm thinking... that marathoning the first series and this one when it's over sounds kind of cool.

The other one I like a lot was Natsu no koi... but I think I'll also wait til there are more eps available.

I'm planning on watching Gold in the future although it looks really nice too and Takashi Sorimachi too hot ;) but I'm sure his screentime is aprox the same Yutaka Takenouchi has in Boss... so that's why I'm not watching right now. Those hot men need more screentime!!!!

(btw, I've read Takenouchi will start in a drama this autumn, which is great great news!!! Yay!!!)

I'm surprised Hancho 3 is almost anywhere to be found which is a pity (as it is a pity that season 2 isn't subbed!)

I'd like to know if somebody is watching Mioka because my beloved Shosuke Tanihara is in it but I'm guessing his part is not too big and it's a terminal illness drama and those are forbidden in my book (just with medical dramas) so, any detailed explanation about this drama and Tanihara involvement in it, I'd truly appreciate it!!

Following [livejournal.com profile] alexandral's post about the kdrama she's watching, I thought I could do the same... I don't have much free time but I'm working my way to watch them all ;)

IRIS kdrama. I'm in episode 10 (for weeks now). I stopped watching because, you see, I know what's coming (because I like spoilering myself), so I don't feel the urge to watch it all right now, but when I started it I watched it not-stop until I reach ep. 10. I really love it! I think I like conspiracy/cops/action dramas, it seems.

It will probably be one of my favorite dramas of that genre and Lee Byung Hun makes my knees weak... He's so good at looking hurt/confuse... Besides he looks hot no matter what.

NINGEN NO SHOUMEI (a.k.a. Proof of Man) jdrama. Starring Yutaka Takenouchi. I'm a bit of a fool because I knew this jdrama was still being subbed and even knowing that I started watching it just because, and now I'm in episode 5, I'm loving it to bits and I can't keep watching because I hate being in the last episode available.

a bit about the plot )

Yukata is the main actor here, thing I truly appreciate. He's great playing a brooding cop with a dramatic childhood. I like the guess stars and the fact that there are several plots that will get together at the end (I'm pretty sure of it). It gave the opportunity of watching Yutaka speaking English (he does it pretty nicely, not as my beloved SMAP do, I'm afraid :S)

I just wish the rest of eps were released soon!!

GET KARL, OH SOO JUNG! kdrama. After discovering Oh Ji Ho thanks to the people in my flist who's currently watching Chuno, I decided to go for something lighter until I get myself to watch another drama (and an historic one).
I'm in episode 4. I'm having great fun! For those who don't know what it is about. )

As a person who loved Love on a Diet, an Andy Lau movie where he and Sammi Cheng wore fat dresses/make up, I kind of loved episode 1. The heroine may be considered a bit annoying but I think that was their intention and she does her part pretty well. Oh Ji Ho's character, Karl (after losing his fat dress) looks the hottest and I love his character.

The next on the list: Rondo (I already started a bit of ep. 1), Ice World, Boss, Chuno, Last Scandal...

Princess Hiro.
Perfect love story.
Touching love story.
Perfect and touching real-life based love story.
Yutaka Takenouchi (absolute love!!!) and Tokiwa Takako (one of my fav Japanese actress) are incredible. The chemistry between them made their parts and their love more real.

Photobucket

A special extra point goes to Takenouchi because he really makes us see him as a Chinese prince. Off went his longish hair and goatee... Short hair and round wired glasses came instead. I've read critiscs about his (and other characters' Chinese) but I think it was pretty decent (and I speak for experience).

An extra, extra point goes to the thinking head behind casting Takashi Sorimachi as Takenouchi's character's best friend. They looked so great together in Beach Boys that I really enjoyed watching them together as friends again... Simply delicious.

The plot in a couple of lines: Princess Hiro tells the story of a Japanese nobility girl who gets to marry the youngest brother of the Manchurian Emperor just before WWII started. Although an arranged marriage they fall in love and spend most of their lives together.

The fact that Hiro and Pu'Chie were real people and that their love story was real, made it even better for me. After watching I rushed to look for more info about them.

their love lasted more than fifty years... (contains spoilers and picspam) )

I've seen that some of the people in my friend list are becoming real dorama fans. I read their posts and take note of the recommendations and all, so although I'm not watching any at the moment, I thought I could recommend some that I watched when I got totally crazy about them like two summers ago ;) Some of them aren't new at all!

Took me ages to write and finish this post *sigh*

not all are Takuya Kimura doramas ;) )
