I've just learned that both Helen Mirren and Jeremy Irons won their Emmys for the miniseries Elizabeth I!!! That is great news!!!
(btw, H E R E are some icons I made from it ages ago).

It's a total coincidence that I was going to talk about The Virgin Queen, another miniseries that also tells the story of Elizabeth I, starring Anne-Marie Duff, Ian Hard and Tom Hardy, among others. What I liked the most about this production, apart from the great job of the three main actors is the way they deal with Elizabeth and Robert Dudley's relationship. ( A bit of squee about Elizabeth and Dudley with caps: they were young and impetuous... )
