The other day I read a post at [livejournal.com profile] foyleswar where I discovered there were a couple of books about Foyle's War. One published by Hastings Borough Council and another one written by Rob Green titled The Real History of "Foyle's War": The Truth Behind the Fiction and it's a companion to the series.

I thought it was great there was a book about the series but checking my usual online shop I also discovered that there is an original soundtrack available, so I couldn't help it and I bought the book and the ost... can't wait for them to reach me!!

But after learning about the book and cd I checked about new episodes and voilà there are new episodes and series 5 it's supposed to air sometime in October. *squee* Can't wait!

The bad thing is that there are only two episodes as in series 4 :( titled: Bleak Midwinter and Casualties of War.

The good thing is that Bleak Midwinter has a lot of Milner's (Anthony Howell) stuff and that, for me, it's like music to my ears!!! since I think they didn't offer as much as they should about him and his storyline... just a little about the plot here but it's very spoilerish )

Another good thing is that it seems that there will also be a series 6 with two new episodes. Anyway, some links about it:

When I grow up I want to be like Anthony Horowitz! (although I'm already late :S) lol!

I just got my monthly movies magazine and I found this piece about a movie titled Stormbreaker, starring among others (and that was what called my attention): Ewan McGregor, Damian Lewis and Bill Nighy (and Sophie Okonedo, who I also like).

That is the way I have discovered that Anthony Horowitz apart from being the creator and writer of Foyle's War series, is also the author of the book in which the movie is based. I didn't know about the Alex Rider adventures, mainly because I don't know if it has been released here and because is a young people book (that isn't an issue for me, anyway!) and I don't usually check the new releases in that section by default, you know.

With a couple of weeks of delay more or less, I've finally watched Foyle's War: Bad Blood. In general, my opinion of this episode is better than the one I had about Invasion, that you can read here.

more about the episode, spoilerish thoughts ;) )

You don't know me too well yet, but if you did you should have seen this coming.  I discovered Raymond in He knew he was right and adore him since then. After watching it I went straight to IMBb to take a look at his filmography and surprise, surprise I have some things he is in but I couldn't remember him because his parts are quite small :(  I love his voice, this hair, his eyebrows and his smile and half-smile).
Anyway, he is so cute and I like him so much that I decided to dedicate a post to him and share his cuteness.

This is my first non-icon post and first I thought about posting 'friends only' but I going to give it a chance and post it public. I am sure I will post 'friends only' in the future though.

I think it's too long, so better lj-cut )

More Wives and Daughters and Foyle’s War (to be honest just Sgt. Paul Milner) icons. They are a couple of favorites of mine. Foyle's War because Michael Kitchen is on it, I love the stories and the characters, and I discovered Anthony Howell there, and Wives and Daughters because is really beautiful, I love the story, the cast and the actors and because Anthony Howell makes a really cute Roger Hamley.

All the icons under the cut. )
