And I thought that only happened in real life *chuckle*

Starting into my brand new obsession: Queer as Folk, has brought me surprises, most of the very nice.

I was surprised in the first place because I do love the series! I supposed I was going to like it but love it! Get really obsessed with it! No way! That was totally unexpected!

The first phase is to locate sites and I have found great great sites about the series even after being over for a year!

I'm going to put them here more to have the link close (for me) than to anything else, although I truly recommend them.

I already talked about GALE ONLINE (for all things Gale Harold ;))
Now just focused in the series we have:
LIBERTY AVENUE, A Queer as Folk Fansite with a lot of info from every episode, including the music that is one of the great things about this show!
KWAF: a queer as folk screencapture resource, a very favourite of mine.
Queer Eyes, another fansite with a lot of stuff, especially dedicated to Brian and Justin's relationship.

I also found a lot of comms there in LJ, so far I've only joined three of them: [livejournal.com profile] gale_daily, [livejournal.com profile] qaf_daily and [livejournal.com profile] queerasicons. In the first one I discovered the posts of [livejournal.com profile] sirius723 who has the best picspams ever!!

But what I really meant with the subject of this post about the Internet world being small, is that thanks to Queer as Folk I've re-encountered a person whose blog/collective I read years ago! Her name is Rae and now she has a LJ, raelala land, although she keeps the domain for her great site called On the Fringe. I know it's her for the pics she has in her LJ, in the moment I saw her dog and U2, I knew it was her.

I can't say how many times I checked her site while I was in my two old jobs (like more than three years ago or so... I checked it quite frequently and even commented more than once), although nothing memorable ;)

It was a great surprise and she is a Brian + Justin fan, so it's great to know she is still around, that we have things in common that will keep me reading what she writes, since before I really found it interesting, and more than I located her again... You know, my tastes and Internet interests have changed year after year, I left the first job and also the second one, currently I'm busy with other things, so I kind of lost track of her site and everything.
