Brief thoughts about the beginning of ep 1:

The first ten minutes of Road Number 1 promise to make it a very very good drama but also hard to watch... I'm already sad for what I've seen and for what I'm guessing it's coming and for all that Lee Jang Woo (So Ji Sub's character) endures in just the beginning of the drama during the war!

Also we go to his past and more drama! He was poor and she is not. He's serving her family... more angst coming!

The heartache and so much pain... I can already see them coming... need tons of tissues ready. So nicely filmed, though and So Ji Sub is absolutely fantastic.

Have to watch the rest tomorrow because it's pretty late here.

*dies*

My two favorite extraterrestrials (aliens doesn't sound that cool): Hyun Joong and Min Ho

For what I've read what it's said here is something on these lines:

HJ: what planet do you come from?
MH: *thinks* and starts drawing a circle.
HJ: *absolutely surprised and a bit emo* that's my planet too.
HJ and MH hug each other so happy they've found each other ;)

Of course they come from another planet! How can they be so beautiful! lol!

some caps because I like to re-enjoy this CF )

It seems this gentleman will have a small part in the upcoming Athena. I got the news from a friend of mine but so you can check it out properly, HERE you have a link with the info.

Jung Woo-Sung and Siwon being good guys and working together to fight evil... *sigh* When was this airing again? I need to watch it!

I'm struggling trying to avoid more kpop bands and singers but sometimes it's pretty hard. As I mention I'm watching Boys over flowers and a couple of weeks ago I'd have said that Kim Hyun Joong's character was my least favorite and that I didn't have any interest in him whatsoever... Guess what, I'm starting to find him slightly interesting (just slightly, I haven't fallen yet)

Anyway, I love when actors/singers feature in others singers/bands mvs. Kim Hyun Joong stars in this Gummy's MV for her song As a Man. It tells a short cute love story with happy end and the song is lovely. And who am I kidding, Kim Hyun Joong has a killer smile ;)

It seems I'm spammy today :S

... dreaming a whole kdrama and waking up without the end of it! I don't recall the details and I don't know how it ends. However I'm pretty sure the male lead was Lee Min Ho, which is pretty cool ;)

Okay, yesterday I found out that Uhm Jung Hwa, a.k.a. the luckiest Korean actress who co-stars with the hottest Korean male lead actors (Oh Ji Ho, Daniel Henney...) is also a singer (in my opinion she is better at acting).

Here you can see her in a live perfomance of her song DISCO from 2008. It features Big Bang's T.O.P. (looking pretty hot) in the rap parts:

the mv, other live perfomances singing the same song and making of of the mv )

On the other hand, I also found her partner in Get Karl! Oh Soo Jung, Oh Ji Ho, who (TG!) doesn't sing but who very hot and sweet looking appears in this T-MAX's mv for their (ballad) song 'Words That I Can Say'.

Really really cute story the one in this MV. Oh Ji Ho fans, check it out!

I was thinking about making some caps but I think it's better if I just offer the link for you to enjoy it fully and un-spoiler-ed. ;)

Big Bang (Korean band, of course)

from left to right: Daesung, G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang and Seungri.

Just a couple of facts:
For those of you kdrama lovers, you may recognise the one in the center (T.O.P.) as Vick, one of the bad guys in IRIS. The one at his right (your left) looking all serious is G-Dragon, their leader (I posted about my favorite mv of his solo album some days ago). T.O.P and G-Dragon are the rappers although G-Dragon has also written some of their songs. Daesung and Taeyang have incredible voices and Seungri is the youngest (born in 1990) and has a nice voice too ;) They can be very goofy too as you can see in the two kdramas parodies I posted days ago.

more pics of them )

I have to make proper introductions since I'm totally crazy for them (I think it has happened to me just a few times, the first of them being my mad love for SMAP. This one has the potential but who knows, SMAP is SMAP, capital letters, you know ;)). I really love these new guys (yes I also like Super Junior, but I don't know how to explain it but it's a bit different kind of love).

It was Takuya Kimura who made me discover SMAP and it was G-Dragon who made me discover Big Bang (although I had already watched their latest mv). I've been watching and listening things from them for weeks now and for now I love every single thing.

For those of you who don't like kpop or aren't interested in this kind of music, please give them a chance. They offer more hip-hop, rap-like music than others kpop bands and have beautiful ballads too. They sing in Korean but also in Japanese and English (in my opinion they are pretty good in both of these foreign languages)

Here's a link about their way to success

Just so you can check out their latest song, here it is: Tell me Goodbye, it's in Japanese, it's a ballad and it's part of IRIS ost for Japan (at least it's used in the promotion of the drama there). Love the mv (the looks, the atmosphere, and the song, of course). They look so hot in gangsters-like suits...

If you decide to check it out, I'd love to read what you think about it.

...just so you know in case I miss something big for not checking LJ as much as I should this week. Can't really help it. This kdrama owns me till I finish the 25 eps.

I'm currently watching Boys over Flowers because you know that I'm always behind everybody else watching things that everybody else already had watched and liked ages ago... well, that's me.

But it's not surprise that after watching You're Beautiful I need another main male character similar to Jang Geun Suk's in YAB. How much I love those tormented-Asian-Mr.Darcys. I accept suggestions for the next one ;)

Oh, how much I adore Lee Min Ho! I truly thing that the promotional pic for the series, the one that I found around all the time doesn't make him justice. He's really hot but he doesn't look like it in that pic and his character, oh boy, I think I love him more than Hwang Tae Kyung because he is far beyond more tormented (so far). The main diference of course is that here he's the one absolutely head over heels for the girl. Poor thing. Watching him all trembling and almost to the point to tear his hair off in episode 6 because he sees the bracelet he gave Jan Di around Ji Hoo's wrist... Knowing she's lying to him... again, poor thing!

Btw, I decided to give it a try not because of YAB but for the stupiest reason. I watched this Big Bang's parody of BOF and decided to check it out. (I'm also planning on watching Coffee Prince because I loved another parody they did).

links to the Big Bang parodies of Boys over Flowers and Coffee Prince in case you want to check them out (you really should check them out, especially if you've watched those dramas) I love them both and I especially like T.O.P. and G-Dragon in their characters, but the five of them are great. )

Btw, for those of you who know... should I check the other versions of BOF or are they so similar that I can just pass?

Hwang Tae Kyung with pig-rabbit ;) after Go Min Nan posted she likes him 100!! *the CUTEST ever*

My current obsession: You're Beautiful (and Jang Geun Suk). I'm not kidding when I say I've watched and re-watched it three times already this week.

And Jang Geun Suk, well, in three words: He is perfect. But I'm especially fond of his voice and looks. His character in You're Beautiful has everything for me to fall for him... he's unsufferable but adorable at the same time, me likes ;)

some vids I think I should share: JGS dancing and singing, a commercial with a kiss and JGS in Spain *squee* )

I'm watching Hong Gil Dong (when everybody else has already watched it). I've checked out JGS's character there and *fans hersel* so angsty, troubled and dark...

I should blame [livejournal.com profile] dangermousie but instead of that I truly thank you!!! I knew there was a good reason why I didn't miss any of your posts about 'Swallow the Sun'. OMG how much I love this kdrama!!!!

I'm watching dramas everybody else has already watched, as usual, but after I asked for your help with suggestions I got a list of kdramas to watch, and I started right away.

I marathoned 'Save the last dance for me' on Thursday and Friday. I skipped moments here and there but I got the whole love story and even played some moments more than once. How cute are those two!! I felt in love with Ji Sung. How can he be so cute/hot at the same time. I love this crazy hair (so many posibilities to make him look like an amnesian and later on like a bussiness tycoon...

I thought, 'if I felt in love with Ji Sung in STLDFM, let's see what happens checking out 'Swallow the Sun' properly. I'm episode 9 so far (and missing sleeping time just to watch at least a couple of eps per night). StS goes with any second thought right to my top five favorite kdramas... I still have to make that list but you get the picture.

Of course I love Kim Jung Woo and Su Hyun, love Jung Woo's friends, love Jackson, but I couldn't care less about evil guy's son. In fact I do care because he gets on my nerves. I don't like the way he talks, gets me nervous, I want to shout to the screen so he shuts up. He's the bad guy and I know it's supposed I don't have to like him... but for example the bad guy from STLDFM, I did like him, and there are other dramas where I don't dislike the bad guy either... but this particular case I really wished they had put other actor there (or maybe not because that way it will be easier for Su Hyun keep loving Jung Woo even when he disappears or doesn't say the words he should...) He's so tormented my poor thing.

Anyway, I wanted to make caps but didn't have the time yet... Ji Sung looks really really hot in this drama. Love the hair (so far because I know Africa comes and I won't like it that much). I looovveeee episode 8 where finally Jung Woo looks relaxed and has fun (for once in his lifetime!) He even has something similar to an older brother in Jackson when he is meeting Su Hyun and Jackson makes a signal approving Jung Woo/Su Hyun (so cute)... and we even get a little kiss on the cheek at the end *squee*

Special mention to the Reservoir Dogs look with sunglasses *dies*
