[livejournal.com profile] scottishlass mentioned something about Takuya and Shingo travelling together to Cannes. I was curious about it because it'd be the second time Takuya go there (the first was promoting 2046). But I haven't found if they did go to Cannes but I did find out that they travelled together.

HERE are some pics of them in an airport from a couple of days ago

And HERE is a video of their arrival to the airport

I started having doubts about the Cannes thing because a reporter in the video asks Takuya to say hello to Hong Kong people as they fight to get their microphones closer. It doesn't mean anything really because they both could stop there for a while, but I just don't know and I haven't found a thing about him or Shingo related to Cannes *shrugs*

But I also found THIS pic of a couple of ads featuring Takuya and Shingo in a couple of their dramas, but I'm not sure about the place. It could perfectly be Cannes but it could be other place too. Takuya's ad is about Hero, btw.

What I've discovered and has surprised me quite a bit it's that it seems that there will a HERO movie againn starring Takuya and Takako Matsu, and that Lee Byung Hun ([livejournal.com profile] alexandral, the actor from A Bittersweet Life) will be Takuya's Korean partner that will help him in a case that takes Takuya to Korea. HERE is the info (scroll down until you reach the part titled 'A New Hero in Korea'). ADDED: I've just found THIS other link with a bit more info about it.

And this is a pretty old article that I've found for the first time now. It talks about Takuya when he went to Cannes promoting 2046. I knew he said something or behaved in a way that Japanese people got pretty mad at him but I still don't know the details. However this article annoys me to no end! I mean I hate that tone of 'know-it-all' and constant critizising searching for things to ridicule the person they're talking about. It may look funny or may raise an eyebrow if Takuya really uses what the article mentions (somebody told me that Nakai was in fact who used them) but not to the point to insinuate that he doesn't deserve to think of himself as a good actor or that he doesn't deserve the praises he gets... He's not perfect, but as people says in my country 'Envy is evil'.
