I'm not a known-it-all but hear me out

I just have a couple of things I want to say after all the things that are happening around my fav fandom lately.

I'm not the most versed in the JE fandom but I've been around since 2004 (not following Arashi but SMAP) and I know people who has been here since longer and probably they can tell better than me how things have changed... but well I'm offering my two cents (that probably some already know).

I remember when I came into the SMAP fandom one of the first things I learned was how Johnny's controlled everything. The open and updated fan sites featuring SMAP were very few and they were extremely paranoid about being closed by JE. They put all their might in being unnoticed and keeping their fansites like secrets. I remember a particular forum that was regularly updated...

At that time, there weren't practically sites about Kimura Takuya and when I found one that was truly worth it months later disappeared. There was just a couple of ways to get SMAPxSMAP episodes at that time, I even got copy of some via cds sent to me for a fellow fan...

All that was before I joined LJ, but after that you can see that there were just few comms for the earlier JE bands (SMAP, V6, Tokio, KinKi...) Now there are quite more and growing.

I'm saying all this because for me what we have in Arashi fandom is really PRECIOUS! Something that is easy to get used to because of the immediacy (due to new technologies, I know) and the excitement they produce in the fans. We all love them and it's normal we like to share that thing in common with fellow fans/friends.

We get everything so fast, there are so many nice people willing to share and work hard for free so the rest can enjoy the boys... That is all kind of wonderful!!

To keep it working there are only two sacred rules: follow the rules and keep this quiet. They are simply and easy to follow. What I don't understand is why people can't keep up with them.

They are clear and simple rules and they are not hard to follow... They are also etiquette and common sense: don't do to others what you wouldn't want be done at you, right?

Some new fans forget that and think that all is fair game... and they're wrong. They are so wrong that for don't thinking things twice, for streaming what shouldn't be streamed, for not asking firt, for not commenting, for not crediting... they are risking all this wonderful world.

The thing is that if we lose it for being careless, we won't get used to have NOTHING as easily as it was the other way around.

I've got used to have it all quite fast and it's total bliss, but I still recall those times when it was really hard for me to enjoy the boys I like. I keep that in mind all the time while being around in the fandom and I keep the rules because of that.

Please be careful all of you. Don't want to lose all this.
