[livejournal.com profile] syliasyliasylia commented on the heat today... but I've been avoiding talking about it in a futile attempt of ignoring it... In fact this horrible heat got back to us a couple of weeks ago and last week was unbearable, especially last Sunday! However it seems that this week the heat will be over (with the temperatures as they are right now, I mean) and nights will be cooler and all. I really can't wait for the autumn to arrive, in fact if summer starts saying goodbye right now it would't be a problem for me at all!!

I've been busy, still with my big room cleaning and changing things of place... I'm kind of tired and sick of it... I think I mentioned all the magazines I have, I'm still taking care of them, deciding which one I keep, scanning some others, getting rid of others... It looks like boring and it is, but I've also found some good pictures here and there. I think I will share some in upcoming posts.

I'm in a dorama spree but I'm not watching them yet, I don't know if that makes sense. The main reason to that is that I hate to be left with cliffhangers in doramas, I want to watch the whole thing and right now I prefer hardsubbed versions because to go hunting for subs is something that annoys me a bit. So far, I started watching two doramas: The Devil Beside You and Rider Kamen 555. I watched the first episode of both of them like three weeks ago, but didn't comment about them before :S

Devil Beside You started quite interestingly. The main female character has some funny and silly moments and over all, I love all the characters, but the main character's mother gets a bit on my nerves... nothing too serious, I still can stand the series and enjoy it a lot, because the main male character. All start with a love letter that falls in wrong hands...

Kind of hot ;)

Kamen Rider 555 is a surprise to me because if somebody told me that I was going to be interested in a dorama like this one, I would have laughed so hard!! Being brief, it looks like a version of the Power Rangers but for now (at least episode 1) just one superhero. The thing that got my attention is that when the guy transformed, the costume reminded me a lot of Takuya Kimura and Shingo Katori when they played their superhero skits at SmapXSmap, and also the fact that the guy reminded me a bit of Takuya Kimura, although less intense and less... hmm, hot (maybe they don't look alike at all, but he just reminds me of TK).

He looks better when he is all serious and frowning...

See the similarity in the costume? or it just me?

However, [livejournal.com profile] dangermousie and [livejournal.com profile] jdramas are going to be my perdition... I read about so many interesting doramas that I don't think I can get them all and watch them. So far I'm very interested in the two mentioned before, plus Shinsengumi (with Shingo Katori from SMAP!), Gokusen, Dating Now (Kwon Sang-Woo!!), Taiyou No Uta, My Name is Sam Soon Kim , Silence and Hanayome wa Yakudoshi... but as I say don't know when I'll manage to watch them all :S

That brings me to the fact that I have so many things waiting in my 'to watch' pile that I'm kind of overwhelm and I don't know where to start... I don't feel like watching any of them, although at the same time I want to watch them all :S Let me tell you, it's not a happy situation! In fact it's quite frustrating. Right now I still have last week episodes of Vanished and Prison Break to watch and I don't mind!

To that, I have to add that as I commented some weeks ago, I've succumbed to YouTube... I checked some Chow Yun-Fat stuff and found this:

The Bund, trailer

It's from one of his earliest works and it looks so interesting that I had to buy it, although the version available is in VCD with Chinese subs. But even the cover of it makes me want to see it all at once: young lovers, gangsters, betrayal... But to watch it, I would love to have one of those days where you can spend the day just watching.

*sigh*

But the thing is that the other day I also bought THIS, I couldn't stop myself from watching some episodes already ;) Brings so many memories and good times ;) Why do I feel

PS Forgot to say that I'm still in audiobook mood and I got five of them: the two parts of David Niven's autobiography, The First Casualty by Ben Elton, narrated by Jack Davenport, and two read by Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry books ;)

And... today I got the best news ever: Takuya Kimura is releasing an special dvd for his birthday. I already pre-ordered my copy at cdjapan.co.jp. Yay!

DBS gets freaking ridiculous. I almost stopped watching at one point, but I really wanted to see how it ended. And Mike He's prettiness helped as well.

I totally know what you mean though when you have too much you want to watch. Right now, I still dont' feel like watching/finishing the 24Hours Japanese charity telethon stuff I dled even though...well...I SHOULD PROBABLY GET THROUGH IT. :\ Silence looks really good doesn't it!? I am thinking about following that series too, but I'm wondering if I'm taking too much on. I'm also thinking about following 'Soulmates' (the Kdrama), but again, too much food on the plate sort of deal.

Dramas do own me though.

I may stop watching some of all those doramas because it seems just too much. Besides, as I say, I want to wait til I have all the episodes... but will see which one I watched completely...

It's awful when I have too much to watch! I just can't decide... There are so many things I want to watch or should watch or are waiting for months there to be watched... that makes me unable to choose... it's awful...

Soulmates sounds really interesting too! I don't know what to do about that one myself either!

I hear you about too much to see. Luckily some of that was sorted out for me by watchin 20 minutes of one series ('Heaven's Wedding Gown') and giving up almost instantly. (The subs! The acting! The everything!) As of Wednesday school will be back in swing and I won't have that much time so I probably will wait before buying any more than I have (Long Vacation, Pride, Devil Beside You). Silence looks great but I think I will wait until it is over because I am sort of lazy that way.

But I'm intrigued by your Kamen Rider 555. Maybe I'll be lured by that one.

I know what you mean, I've stopped watching doramas or tv shows just after the first episode because simply it was a 'no, no, no' for me... just didn't work... I'm curious to see which one I stop watching :S

I'm busy and I will be more so, I understand you. Silence does looks good... don't know what I'll do about that one!

Well, maybe after you watch the first episode you stop watching Kamen Rider 555, but if you like it, let me know what you think ;)

Ooh! Chow Yun-Fat so young! *hee*

I read your post about the heat and I couldn't stop myself for also mentioning since this time it has been harder than in July because, silly me, I thought the hottest temperatures were long gone... those days with cool weather fooled me big time!!!

I want autumn now!! ;)

I have just too many things to watch... I'm a total mess, can't decide... but I couldn't not buy that Chow Yun-Fat early drama!!! It looks so intense and dramatic... and he looks so cute! ;)

The cleaning... it's just something I had to do sooner or later... don't have space for so many magazines and papers... they have to go *he he* The heat makes me go very slow with the process, believe me.

Good luck to you with the opos of doom! is the exam really close?? :S
[identity profile] syliasyliasylia.livejournal.com on September 4th, 2006 10:02 pm (UTC)
The Opos of Doom exam is so freaking close I can touch it! :S ... the date of the exam is October 8 but I don't know the time and place yet, eeeck!!! I need a miracle to pass it, seriously! :/ And with this dreadful weather I just feel like lying on the couch and watching stuff on dvd with the AC set in "freeze me pliz" temperature :P

I finally watched Coupling, the four series, and OMG! It's one of the best stuff I've ever seen, so hilarious and full of memorable moments!!! Now when I finsh writing this post I going to watch The Constant Gardener I bought it last week and I was looking forward to seeing it, sice I missed it when it was showing on theaters,

I need to clean too... I have to go through my vhs takes and get rid of the ones I already own on dvd, rearrange the ones I'm keeping... but I'll wait until the weather is lovely! :)
ginger001: coupling[personal profile] ginger001 on September 4th, 2006 10:15 pm (UTC)
Argg, don't get me starte in the vhs tapes cleaning! That one will have to wait for the next one ;)

Coupling is the Best Thing Ever!!!!! I love the series so much, that probably it's my favorite comic series ever!!! All of them are hilarious, particularly the boys... but Steve and Jeff are just fabulous!!! Jeff's thoughts about life, porn and women crack me up! and his Scottish accent is wow! Bad thing he wasn't in series 4.

Steve is fantastic! I particularly remember his monologue about porn and 'Lesbian Spank Inferno' ;) *evil grin*
[identity profile] syliasyliasylia.livejournal.com on September 4th, 2006 11:32 pm (UTC)
Steve and Jeff are also my favorite!!! And I find Sally hilarious! I have to rewatch it as soon as possible!! *hee* Lately, I'm in a total comedy mood! In fact today I've watched a couple of Blackadder II episodes!

Lesbian Spank Inferno!!! That episode is brilliant!! I totally agree, I really missed Jeff in series four :(

Clicked 'post' before time, sorry!

Good luck with opos!! I'm sure you'll be able to study better in the upcoming days and weeks. You still have a month... that gives you time for a lot! You go girl! I'm sure you'll do well!!!

You already know that I'm not going to the Chinese exam myself... I'm a bit of a chicken *lol*
