A kind of Moonlight ficlet (Coraline, Josef)

I mentioned in my previous post that there were some ideas about Josef/Coraline/Mick that crossed my mind after watching episode 103 'Dr. Feelgood'.

I didn't explain it was an idea for a little fic (ficlet, really). I don't consider myself a fic writer because the language thing (not being my first one and all) I may not choose the right words to explain what I want, and some other mistakes. But it was shouting me to put it to paper so I did and I decided to post it. If somebody else more gifted than I am in writing fics decides she likes the idea and want to write more about it (= a longer fic) I'd love to read it.

As I've said before. Sorry for the mistakes of all kind that can be found here! :S Suggestions and constructive criticism is accepted but please not too hard :/

It was late but for Josef the party has just started. A blonde, a red-haired and a brunette were the perfect trio to have a good meal and a decent night. He was seated in a black leather sofa, shirtless, with one woman at each side of him and a third one seated at his feet.

While the blonde was offering him her wrist, he was massaging the brunettes’ legs and the red-haired was placing her neck inches from Josef, some locks of hair brushing his jaw, tickling him.

Josef’s closed eyes opened and he left out an angry puff. His servant had entered the room and approached him.

'I said no disturbances,' he hissed.

His servant leaned over him and murmured something in his ear.

'Is she here?' He asked as he stood up.

The servant nodded briefly.

'Ladies, I’ll be back in a minute, sit tight.'

He stood up, picked a black silk shirt from the back of a chair and left the room, not caring if the servant followed him or not.

Coraline waited in the hall with her arms protectively wrapped around her waist. She was wearing a burgundy coat and a black crochet beret tilted to the right side of her head.

Her sight was lost on the floor in front of her but she turned around the moment she heard the steps approaching.

'What is it? I was busy, having some fun and you are nearly ruining my night,' Josef complained as he stood next to her. 'Besides, I told you never come back here again.'

She raised her eyes to meet his. 'I know. I’m sorry. I didn’t have anywhere else to go.'

Her front teeth bit her lower lip in a gesture that in another situation would be tempting and sexy.

Josef studied her for a second. 'You did it,' Josef stated, raising one of his brows in surprise.

Coraline nodded.

'You turned him.' He left out a dry chuckle. 'Let me guess. It hasn’t turned out as you had in mind.'

She shocked her head, black curls swaying slowly.

'I thought it was the best for both of us. We’ll be together forever.'

'I told you not to play god, you crazy little thing. You haven’t been made to deal with the consequences.' Josef offered brushing his forehead as he was cleaning some thought from his head he shouldn’t say.

'He doesn’t want to see me anymore. He went mad.' She explained with a hint of desperation in her usually warm voice.

'I won’t pick up the pieces, Cora. I think I was pretty clear with you last time we talked. You’ll have to deal with this by yourself.' Josef was getting impatient.

'I love him so much,' she confessed.

'If you really loved him, you should have left him live his normal, insignificant, human life.'

Josef turned around and started walking away leaving Coraline alone in his hall.

'What can I do?'

Josef didn’t even turn around. 'My dear, I don’t really care what you do.'

From where she was she could hear a door opening and closing. She closed her eyes and swore to herself that Mick would be the perfect husband and companion she had always dreamt of, no matter what.
