If something has a Colin Firth included, pretty sure I'll watch it
[livejournal.com profile] adhuri_roshni posted this link in her last post and I just watched it and well, I couldn't not say anything about it.

The link is to the first preview of The Last Legion, a movie with Ben Kingsley, Aishwarya Rai and... Colin Firth.

Sometimes I really wonder what he is thinking when he chooses his new films. I LOVE him as an actor, I think he is fantastic but pretty underrated... His voice makes me melt... and he is the best Mr. Darcy ever. Period. Maybe he isn't a star because he doesn't want to but maybe it is because some of his film choices...

I have read that he has admitted he's worked in movies just for money and I can understand that. If you aren't Brad Pitt, and you have three kids to take care of (two with his current wife, another from an actress he was going out with long time ago) you have to work to get money.

Anyway, honestly, The Last Legion doesn't look amazing or anything like it (probably the opposite), although Colin looks pretty good in it and he has fighting scenes, wears kind of a medieval knight outfit and things like that, so if the movie gives me opportunity to watch that, I'll give it a chance... ;)

Heeee. This is craaaaaack. I am going to love it. I love swords and sandals flicks and I want to see Ash and Firth together. It will probably not be a good movie, but I couldn't care less :) Also, Ash coming out of the water is so Bollywood it hurts...

And she IS beautiful, though I do prefer her looking the way she does in my icon.

It definitely looks intriguing. I've always loved Colin Firth - the first thing I saw him in was "A Month In The Country" where I have to admit to falling a bit in love with both him and Kenneth Branagh.

Well, hello to you too! Glad that what you find here looks interesting to you ;)

I started studying Chinese a lot of years ago but stopped for a while due to several jobs I took. I've always been atracted to China and Japan, especially, but also Korea, so I decided it would be great to know the languages as a way to get closer to the culture, the people, etc. Right now I'm only studying Chinese and Japanese and stopped for a while with Korean but I would like to get back to it soon.

Hindi, no, I don't speak it but I really would like to learn a bit so I could get at least words of what they're saying in the movies.

I just got myself into Bollywood, so my knowledge here is a bit limited yet... However I adore Aamir Khan, so right now I'm trying to watch all of his movies I can find.

Right now I'm a bit frustrated with my Chinese because I don't think the method they teach here is good and I think I don't know anything!!!

Anyway, if you need help with your Spanish I will be glad to help ;)

If you want we can friend each other ;) I have very different tastes but probably because I always want to learn new things and I'm curious about knowledge ;)

The friending thing happens to me too because I have a lot of different tastes and sometimes I add new ones ;) but as you say I think we have enough in common to enjoy reading each other posts ;)

Coming here to study? Well I don't know about the South since I live in Madrid. A lot students come to Madrid every year to study so here I can tell it's not a problem ;) The weather is nice but depending on where you usually live, maybe winters can be a bit hard for you (if you are in China our winter is a laugh comparing with the one there) but summers are pretty hot. We are already over 30º C every day. In the south in summer, they reach 45ºC pretty easily. But you say spring, so that time is good everywhere, but later in summer, that's another issue ;)

People are nice but there aren't a lot of people who speaks fluent English in some parts :S and in some parts of the South, the accent can be a bit different from the one in Madrid or in the North half of the country.

If you need any other information, tell me ;)

I may take your offer to help me with my Chinese because there are things that I really don't understand, lol!!

Tomorrow I finish my exams so hopefully I'll be a bit more active in my LJ since I have some Bollywood movies waiting to be seen ;)

Well, I usually buy most of my movies. Practically all my Aamir Khan movies are original and will be since I love the man! But I wait and choose the cheaper ones everytime I buy ;)

However I think you can find some (but you have to look for the subs in another file) in the 'mule' site, don't know if you know what I mean :S Don't feel comfortable talking about this here :S If you want I can send you an email ;) or talk through the msn or similar...
