Awful day in Japan (some updates)

I keep watching the news/twitter/blogs of Spaniards living there, etc and it's so terrible that I have no words.

HERE a video of a family in Sendai when the earthquake started.

A graphic explaining the hours the American coast and Japanese and other Asian countries have to wait for the tsunamis to arrive.

After reading that some factories in Chiba ar on fire, my mind goes straight to Aiba's family. Hope they are okay and he has been able to contact them with no problem.

Bartender ep today will no air, for what I've read. Quite normal, me thinks. I wonder if Jun will have his radio show tomorrow morning... I doubt it too :S

Japan is in my thoughts today...

PS there is one news mc in Nihon TV (I have no image just sound) that has a voice similar to Sho and when he talks sometimes I wonder if he's Sho and also I keep thinking how Sho is keeping up with the news as this is really important and tragic (I recall his docudrama about Kobe's earthquake).

It's scary. I'm glad that Arashi are alright. Pray for their families, friends in LJ and everyone in Japan.

*I've just watched Sho's docudrama about Kobe yesterday!*

Kobe was a little scary. I remember watching it last year and I was really touched by that documentary.

I just watched the news in Norway and it seems like there are problems on the phone-line. (at least foreign to Japanese calls)..

I also recall the Kobe drama, but It seems really devastating. And the whole dam collapse thing just adds to the disaster-cake..

It really is a scary scenario..

That vid is shocking, wow.

It seems that Aiba's family's fine, though his house was burned D:

Here's a list of confirmed safe Johnnies, in case you wanna know and haven't seen it yet: http://misosiru.livejournal.com/179745.html

Apparently they were filming VSArashi when everything occurred...

Oh, and I also keep thinking about how Sho's gonna deal with this, how he must be reading news articles and watching TV and so on. I'm sure he'll say something about it on Monday (and perhaps something about what they were doing at the moment too).

P.S. And about the other tsunamis... I don't really want to think, since half my family is in the Philippines, even thought I don't know most of them ;__;

Oh, thank God, I was so sad about that D: (too bad I don't have a twitter account xD)

I've heard about that too! And they said Nagase was injured too... but now I'm not sure what to believe or not :S

Yeah, I mean, he's sure going to make a report on it, so he must be constantly updated.

Me too... but I suppose we will have to wait for some news clip or broadcast that shows they're really fine, though if they were in Tokyo as that staff worker said, they're sure to be safe.

I've heard about those too.. I hope they're fine ): Keep me informed if you know anything, please!

Same here... I even tried to listen to Rekomen, though it was definitely not going to air. But even so I plan to wait for Junstyle too, just in case :S

(Oh, and btw, I told [livejournal.com profile] cypros that we should meet again soon, at least the three of us :) I'm sure we'll have lots of stuff to talk about [I read Nattergal!] ^^)

Okies, I will send you mine when I get yours ;)

Yes! I loved it :) I also recommended it to a friend and she loved it too ^^

Oh, I will check her fics if you say they're good :D

I took too long to comment on your other entry, so I am putting it up here:

Don't worry about voicing your opinion. I have been shell shocked ever since the news broke on Friday.
I don't know that many Japanese ppl in real life ... only those who have been part of the German/Japanese society back in D'Dorf. But still that doesn't keep me from being worried for all Japanese ppl, be it celeb, normal oka- or oba-sans. These folks could be us, could be our parents, friends, siblings if something similar was to happen in our own countries.

I guess some ppl always take the Holier than thou attitude in such devastating times ... be it some really hurtful comments on twitter mixing up the pain of a war that has been ended for more than 50 years, or some stupid, not at all thought through gossip about celebs from fans. It all happens and in this day and age even more open and publicly due to the internets.

There is and will be so much pain and hurt in Japan we will never know. There are only glimpses of what ppl must be getting through.

As for nuclear power ... ever since Tchernobyl we know how devastating nuclear power failure can be and esp. here in Germany ppl had worked towards shutting down nuclear power plants ever since but the new government having extended their run of npp's for another 14 years only last year :s Whatever the consequences we draw from this three-fold disaster, I hope it will be for a better place for the Japanese nation as well as for the rest of the world.

Let's keep those ppl in our minds, helping with whatever we can do (donations, putting rescue packages together etc.) and hope that Japan can overcome this disaster in no time.
