History repeats itself... I'm in love
Be aware that when I talk about what I'm going to tell you, I sound like a very old lady... but bear with me.

Don't know how many of you know this and I got new friends so for people knowing a little more about my fangirl tastes and background here it is:

A bit before I got into LJ (probably beginning of 2004) I felt in love with Takuya Kimura watching the first episode of Pride. Later on I discovered that he wasn't only an actor but also a member of a band, SMAP, and I felt in love with the rest of them too. However Takuya remained my favorite. They were the first Johnny's band I knew about.

Since then I've tried to watch most of Takuya's work and a lot of SMAPxSMAP and Utaban's. I have had such a great time watching those (all raw at that time, although my Japanese wasn't and isn't very good yet).

When I learned about all the rest of Johnny's bands, I must confess I got stressed because if they were as good as SMAP I would be in a really hard position because being me, I would have fallen for most of them, so at that time I decided focusing in just one of them, but later on I've failed on that (more a WTH kind of attitude, don't know where it came from)

In fact, I started noticing V6 when I discovered Okada Junichi in SP and also TOKIO when I discovered Matsuoka Masahiro in Yaoh, but nothing too serious.

FF to now and what do I have: First I love Yamapi to bits but although I have a great interest for NEWS, right now I can't say that it reaches the endless love I have for SMAP. However, Matsumoto Jun came into my life like a storm (ha ha ha easy joke :P) and I felt in love with him, his voice, his acting and his smile. As it happened with Takuya and SMAP, he has made me discover Arashi and I'm in love with all of them (although Nino and I still have to work our relationship a bit). I also share birthday with Sho, so it's a sign lol! I'm so happy! ^^

Last night I had such a great time. It was a while since I laughed so much. I reminds me of my nights watching SxS. There has been experience of being scold by mr. ginger because I woke him up with my laughs...

I watched a couple of Himitsu no Arashi-chan shows and I love them!!! Truth that they were subbed so that made it even easier for me to love them but even raw, it's not very hard to fall in love with them ;)

I also have to say that for now my two favorite songs are Monster (love that pv!!) and Truth (love the pv but for me Monster is the BTE!).

So that's the state of things... so this little story is also to warn you of what my future posts may be about ;) I just hope it lasts as long as my love for SMAP or longer ^^

I think they're my second favorite as well right after SMAP and followed by TOKIO. They have great shows... It's impossible to watch them all!!! But the ones I've watched are just fantastic and hilarious.

In my case, it isn't that I don't like Nino because I do, but in my personal ranking he is the one I like the least... maybe because in the shows I always find him kind of complaining about things... To my surprise I didn't have any expectation toward Ohno and I must confess that to my surprise, I like more than I thought.

I need Arashi icons ;)

Yes he has. At the beginning I thought it was just only that, charm, but well, now I like him very much!

I'm fickle, I fall for bands/groups/singers all the time but it's the music I fall for not the performers. It's always been so, as far as I've been into music. In rare occasions I get involved enough to keep tabs with e.g. the band and their shenanigans. Those are the ones I think myself as being a fan of. There hasn't been many over the years and I've been around the block a few times. XD

Kimura and SMAP were my introduction to j-pop too and thus hold a special place in my heart. They are the ones I know most of. The 2nd group I discovered was Okada and V6. :) Then went on to Tokio. I liked some of NEWS' stuff but save for Nino (whom I like as an actor) I haven't really warmed up to Arashi yet. I don't have any real interest in anyone else in J-ent side. Well, overwhelming majority of my faves are Korean anyway. I guess emo ballads are more my style. *g*

Sorry, got a bit longwinded but music talk always gets me going....

In my case depends on the band/singer. There are bands that I like just for the music and others that I started liking them for the performers and at the end I also like the songs.

I've never been one of those to buy all the works of one singer/band until I started liking SMAP. I don't have all their discs but I have lots of them. After that I do have some works of some other bands but nothing like that. After SMAP that was also my first I went to TOKIO and before I could notice I went into kpop and later on discovered Yamapi (but mainly his solo work) and now Arashi. I also like some V6 songs (especially one called Guilty).

K-music, I really like dance-type songs. Ballads I only like Jo Sung Mo, for now, ss501 have some nice ones too. I prefer happy kind of music... ballads tend to make me nostalgic and probably a bit sad.
