HP fangirl stuff, pics and some movie ramblings
Even if I try I couldn't stop being in HP mood. I found nice GoF caps that I will use for icons.

I have read great fics by [livejournal.com profile] koalathebear who also recommended me a couple of Hermione/Cedric fics by [livejournal.com profile] ishibishispider that you can find here and here, and another one by [livejournal.com profile] inell that you can find here. I am repeating [livejournal.com profile] koalathebear's recs but I really enjoyed those fics too and I think we have to share the Hermione/Cedric love...

Also, the other day I went to one of the biggest shopping centers around here and I found there another reason to keep on with my HP obsession (by HP obsession I am talking about the Harry Potter universe, not particularly Harry, that I also like but who right now it's just part of this obsession).

That shopping center (more kind of a mall) held an exhibition of The Goblet of Fire real costumes worn by the actors (or that's what they say). When I saw it I was all squeeing!!! So I took some photos with my cellphone. They quality isn't very good but I thought I share my enthusiasm about it.

The Triwizard Cup (really was amazing to see)

Beauxbatons uniform

Parvati dress for the Yule Ball

Harry's cloths for the last task in the maze

My two favorites right now ;)

Hufflepuff uniform (I think it didn't say to whom it belonged :/)

Cedric's wand

In fact, in the lavel at the bottom right says 'Cedric Diggory's wand' in Spanish :D

This afternoon I was going to watch a movie but I realized there was one I love already on: Witness, with Harrison Ford and Kelly McGillis. For [livejournal.com profile] koalathebear I will say that the title in Spanish is Unico Testigo (that can be translated more or less as The Only Witness. This one wasn't bad translated in my opinion).

I loved that movie the first time I watched it. Harrison Ford looks so handsome in that one. I love him as the police detective who truly believes in the 'to protect and serve' and work hard to protect Samuel (Lukas Haas) the only witness of a murder (I got it started so I may got it wrong). I love the whole part where after being shot, John Book (Ford's character) stays with the amish people.

There was a moment where he caught Rachel (McGillis) half naked. His face a mix of desire, surprise and shame for watching her without her permission is amazing.

Further in the movie, when Rachel learns that he is going to leave the following morning and can't stop from showing her feelings anymore and gets out of the house and runs toward him. Again his face speaks volumes... he's relieved because she feels the same than him, he is happy and oblivious of the fact that what they are going to do is something that won't last....

And the final scene where he says goodbye and leaves... you are waiting that one of them change his/her mind. Both are sad but understand the situation, that half smile Ford use to show that he is vulnerable and that he really is sorry things are like they are... love it.

*sigh* How much I love Harrison Ford in that movie!! (and in some others but it had been a while since last time I watched it). Besides Lukas Haas is the cutest little boy ever! in that movie.

I guess some of my LJ friends my be surprised or wondering why I am in this kind of posting spree in my LJ and commenting in their LJ.

Here's the explanation: the thing is that I would normally do this, read what my friend posts and what I find around in LJ communities, but usually I don't have the time. This week that ends today we had two holidays so I was a bit more free. Usually from Monday to Wednesday are my more busy days so usually I don't have the time to read all and I end being behind my friends posts.

Added: I've just changed the layout. I know some of you may think is a bit dizzy because of the lines... sorry!!! I will probably change it again soon but I was tired of the previous one and for now that's the one I really like.

Also welcome to my friend [livejournal.com profile] lolita_san who just decided to join us in this crazy and amazing LJ world ;) She hasn't posted anything yet but she is in, and that already is something!

Cupula Norte 2.

I thinking about coming back and take proper photos because there were some I couldn't take because I didn't have space in my phone *sigh*.

That's the same reason I watched that movie today when I saw it on TV. I have it in dvd but it has been ages since I last saw it. Harrison Ford is really great in that one. It's one of his movies that I especially like (there are more, of course!)

Thats the one near IKEA? Oh no, that's Plaza Norte... I'll have to check it out.

Witness was on tv today? Oh, crap, I missed it! I caught the beginning of Young Sherlock Holmes (El Secreto de la PirĂ¡mide) but then I had to go out so I couldn't even see that one.

And this week, Rome will start on Cuatro and The 4400 on Antena3 ^_^

Thank you! I'll really try to watch it, although I have the episodes in English. Will give it a try.

Have fun watching Victor/Victoria!!

I just have the first 6 episodes in English but I've only seen the first episode and I don't want to download any more until I decide whether I like the show or not. It takes more than 1 episode to help make up my mind LOL

Man I love Harrison Ford. He's such a great actor.

He is! There are movies I don't like too much but in general I love him and his work ;)

The other day I was talking to a friend about the *guilty pleasure* that is watching Six Days Seven Nights. A lot of people don't like that movie but we do. He looks great, we heart his character there *grin*

Those pictures are cool, I might actually break down and read Book 4 and five of the Harry Potter series, well after I am done with my current Terry Pachet novel. (Night Watch)

Thanks!!! I didn't know there was that exhibition so I took the photos with my phone, so the quality isn't very good. I think it was pretty cool that the direction of the shopping center decided to organize it.

You should! Books 4 and 5 (and also 6, although I don't know why I did't like it as much as 4 or 5) are fast to read because there always a lot things happening (more in 4, at least that's why I recall). The movie was pretty cool and a good adaptation.

Terry Pachet in my case is who I should give a try ;) a friend of mine kept recommending me his books but still haven't read anything. I think I would like them.

I definetly think you will, the book descriptions are kind offsetting, but the characters are so real that they definetly come to life. The storys do a great job of commenting on modern life that its amazing, and very funny.
