the best Korean actors in very short dramas
I'm pretty sure you know by now that I have a thing for MVs... I also have a thing for Korean actors... and I also enjoy watching kdramas but the shorter the better...

So, if we mix all that together what do we get? that's right the perfect field for ginger to have plenty of fun! great MVs starring my favorite guys... short dramas that break your heart or makes you all giddy in 5 to 25 minutes tops.

These you can't miss them!

more than 23 minutes of length! that left me like I had just watched a whole drama. So Ji Sub is perfect for this kind of parts and excels in his job... so quiet but diligent, so apparently tamed but daring to follow his heart deep inside... I truly truly recommend it, please don't miss it!

In a few words: SJS works for a Japanese mob boss but secretly loves his fiance, which, stupidly, the boss puts under the wing of SJS's care because Jap-boss is pretty busy with the underworld... SJS can't help falling in love with the woman, but what can he do... little by little a look here a hand brushing hers there... he reaches her heart... the innevitable happens... I don't talk about scenes and details because it's worth watching complete.

It also stars Takao Osawa (love!) as So Ji Sub's boss and Kim Jung Eun (Lovers) as his fiance and the woman So Ji Sub's character secretly loves.

The song is by Jo Sung Mo, who I've learned must be the Korean king of ballads! Such a beautiful voice! The song is titled Mr. Flower or My First, not sure.

I love everything about this MV but the end (obviously) although it's believable and it's what usually happens in kdrama world.

It also offers you the chance of hearing So Ji Sub speaking Japanese ;)

So Ji Sub stars in more MVs, I already have them listed, if you want me to tell you so you don't waste your time, tell me I'll be glad to share my MV+actors love.

Song: A Day / Band: Position / Length: aprox 7 minutes

Lee Dong Gun plays a young man in love with an older doctor. She introduces him to a younger woman (her sister??) and this young woman falls in love with him. An accident, a terminal illness happen and somebody (guess who) donors his eyes.

I've learned two things about Lee Dong Gun with this MV: he is really good at playing tortured guys (tortured guys as in I haven't done the right thing have to fix it but don't know how) and he also is good playing men with terminal illnesses.

Song: I'm a Woman (or I'm a Girl) / Band: KISS / Length: 8 minutes

Shin Hyun Jun (probably my first Korean actor love) plays a photographer who falls in love with a hair dresser. Something bad happens and he makes an irreversible choice. It's a pretty sad MV but it's worth watching. I recommend it. The end is memorable.

Shin Hyun Jun is a fantastic actor, probably my favorite. It's great in comedy (I fell in love with him because of Guns & Talks) but he's even better in drama (Stairway to Heaven/ Cain & Abel, anyone?)

It surprised me that in the world of drama-MVs I found two that are so quite similar in theme and plot. That's why I posted them together.

Song: Sonagi / Singer: Kim Jang Hoon / Length: almost 10 minutes. This one is subbed in English.

WARNING with this one! It may not be suitable for everybody for the matter it deals with. Cha Seung Won is absolutely fantastic in this MV and you really feel his pain and desperation but it may not be everybody's cup of tea, although it's been dealt with care, I think.

Briefly: A man seeks justice after losing his daughter. He fears the culprit won't pay for what he did. Memories of his past full of happiness haunt him and makes him lose control.

Really well filmed, imho. Great acting work.

Part 1:

Part 2:

Song: Love of Sun & Moon / Band: TJ Project / Length: both parts together around 10 minutes.

Oh, when I watched this MV in 2 parts I immediately thought in [livejournal.com profile] alexandral and [livejournal.com profile] dangermousie as both of them love Chuno.

Jang Hyuk with long hair, fierce look and fighting with sword it's a must-watch. He also stars alongside his costar in Windstruck so I was there from minute one.

The songs featured here are by a band Jang Hyuk belonged to called TJ Project.

He and his female fighting partner must protect the heir to the throne or similar from the enemy...

I recommend them all! They are dramas in short, believe me. Give them a chance because really good Korean actors star in them and at least all included here have nice music too -ballads most of them).

Just for myself, and in case it can be of use to some other people, I'll be posting an assembled list by yours truly. I'm just giving it the final touches ;) It has taken me part of today to get it done but I'm satisfied and feel accomplished.

I'm planning to do the same with Japanese actors right after I finish this.

You don't know how much fun I'm having (if it weren't because some MVs really break my heart... so sad they are!)
