ginger001 | Several things that concern me...

I'm just going to ask in case somebody knows what may happen with it. My mini iPod is acting a bit weird lately... and I honestly can say that I didn't read the whole booklet that came with it but I read most of it...

The thing is that in the last weeks the battery is playing with me. I use the mini iPod almost everyday and I know I exhaust the battery pretty quick (quicker than before anyway when I only used it to go to Madrid city center and class and that was all)...

The other day the battery indicator showed that it was around half the battery but when I went to listen music the 'battery empty' text appeared and the iPod turn off.

And the last couple of times I've tried to charge it... although I keep the iPod connected to the computer like more than 12 hours, it keep showing like is charging and I don't seem to get the image of the battery fully charge :(

So my questions are:

Is it possible that the battery (as in mobile phones) doesn't last as much as it lasted at the beginning due to the extensive use I give to the thing?

It something in the machine that will make me reset it and install all again??

Help?!

In other news, it seems that some cinemas here in Madrid are trying to boicot Disney (in my honest opinion they're playing with fire)... because of Disney's expensive price in the movies they distribute... so, last week Scary Movie 4 wasn't released in all the theatres that should be showing it and, ... here comes what worries me... the released of Pirates of the Caribbean 2 is also in danger and won't make it to all the theatres it should go (and I'm crossing my fingers that doesn't mean I won't get it in O.V.)

Today is the day... Spain-France, or France-Spain, depending on who is saying it ;) I'm a bit bothered with the match because I really want Spain to win, but knowing them as we all do, it's possible they mess up and end losing... which will be terribly disappointing!!!

They are able to play fantastically, they are younger than the French and they have been playing better than them... but don't know, I have this weird feeling in my stomach (and no, is not something I ate)... We'll see...

However it also annoys me our kind of 'bad luck'. Look Italy, they have the easy matches... (sorry for the Australian fans, but it's kind of true) and now they'll face Ukraine. And, this team, who was going to tell them that after losing 4-0 against us, they will be still in the World Cup after winning against Switzerland.

Meanwhile, the rest of matches will be like finals themselves: Argentina-Germany or England-Portugal... and if Spain passes: Spain-Brazil... arggg!! That is bad luck for us, honestly...

I'm afraid that we won't get the POTC2 released in English, since the most likely movie theater to show it is the Yelmocineplex Ideal ... and all the Yelmocineplex movie theaters are part of the boycott, along with Cinesa and other group I cannot remember at the moment! :/

About your iPod, you could write a mail to Apple's customer service or give them a call, they may help you with it! Good luck with your iPod!

There's something kind of dodgy about the iPod mini batteries - I have similar problems with it. That's why people have recommended that I upgrade my iPod. Apparently apple has improved the battery life in the newer models.

Okay... that explains a lot!! Thanks! I think it may be that and the extensive, abusive use I've been giving it... lol!

I'd love to get the 60 Gbs iPod, but I'm torn between it and a beautiful digital camera I really like... Which of them will come first... I just don't know *sigh*

btw, good thing to know they improved the new models! I wouldn't like to get a new one (that are quite expensive) to get the same problem after less than two years of use!!!

Its really not a fact that it's your ipod as much as its just the battery. I have friends with ipod videos you've already ran out the battery. You're right, they're just like Mobile batteries and with you using it everyday, you probably need a new one.

Not show PotC!!! That's horrific! I'll be holding my breath in hopes that won't happen.

Thanks for commenting... I'm afraid you're right... I may have used the mini ipod too much... but I kind of think that replacing the batteries in one it may not be worth the expense, so I may have to save money for a new one (one with video *evil grin*)

Well, they'll be showing PotC but only dubbed!!! arggg!! and I truly want to see this movie in original version since I do love Jack Davenport and Tom Hollander's British accent and... let's face it, Johnny's way of talking as Jack... I shiver just thinking what they'll have done with his voice in the dubbed version...

I was a bit tired and disappointed to comment back yesterday...

I knew this could happen and finally it did happen :( I could start with the whole 'they deserved to win' but I won't... They didn't play badly, but they didn't also play as good as they should... France knew what they had in hands, took the chance and it worked for them!! And as I say in my post about the match, now I'm just happy Zidane will face Brazil... and have a great end of career...

I went to a friend's house to watch the match (it was kind of a little party) and as we reached the place we were listening to the radio... I was really amused when the radio guy said aloud what somebody has in a banner at the match (first in Spanish where it rhymes) 'Después de Alonso and Nadal, sólo nos queda ganar el Mundial' = 'After Alonso and Nadal, we only need to win the World Cup'...

And it was true, but couldn't be... Good thing last weekend Alonso won again... ;)

I am a die hard Alonso fan and hv been one since '03 when he won in Hungary(Thats probably why the soft corner for Spaniards). I too expected the worldcup to finish the triplet but looks like the second World Formula One Championship will have to do(with the second French Open) this year :P

I think he's the best but I'm not such a follower as she is ;)

I think Spain looks really strong this year - unless France starts to play somehow differently to their previous matches they will definitely win! I agree with you that not all matches are equal in the knock-out stage, but it is a part of the tournament's beauty for me. Ukraine is very very lucky to get into the quarter-finals!!! I am going to hide when England plays , I think..

Spain looked strong but France had the experience... that's all I have to say, really (I've posted about it already).

Ukraine was really lucky and in some way I'm glad for them!

I really don't know which time I'll be supporting from now on... I have mixed feelings...
