Hmmm...I don't spend very much time thinking about these types of things, to be honest. Even if SMAP and Arashi stop being mega-stars, they will still have plenty of support. After all, "regular" celebrities like enka singers, rock bands that never make it to the top of Oricon and most actors all make a decent living, and their fanbases are all mostly average people who don't have time to fangirl/boy.

Though I was surprised to see that Arashi are now hosts for Kohaku...even though I barely watch it, I've gotten used to Nakai and Nakama Yukie. T____T I miss them already, just thinking about it. lol

I think Arashi will do just fine. Don't they assign lines to the quiet ones? XD
