SS501's Let me be the one MV is out...
...and makes you cry. It's so emotive and sad and cute and lovely and... the song is beautiful!

I'm a new fan and I shed a tear, so I can only imagine how hard it must be for veteran Triple S fans.

Really lovely MV but it looks so much as a goodbye that hurts.

The MV has moments from concerts, performances, backstage from performances and concerts, the filming of 'Love Ya' mv (very cute and funny moments there), the members being goofy and funny, plus moments with all together... really touching.

Re: Hee! BYJ!!!!!!!!!
Until KHJ signed with this company I didn't even know BYJ has a company at all! ;)

Yeah, that's what everybody keeps saying about the idea of him as the lead in Playful kiss. As I don't know a thing about the drama, I can't take part... but I think you're right. He's only been in one drama... he has to grow a bit in that part of his career. I do think he has the potential to be a good actor, he just needs to work on it a bit ;)

Re: Hee! BYJ!!!!!!!!!
He's too awesome for words, yes! \o/

Well, I haven't watched Itazura na Kiss the jdorama, but I've watched the tw series and I think the lead actor should be able to pull off "cold aloof almost jerkish guy" and "sweet and kind guy" quite well at the same time; he also should be able to express a range of emotions and be subtle about it. KHJ is just too young of an actor to have that range of expressions. Hell, even Joe Cheng who played in the tw series wasn't exactly good at the role imho and he was a veteran (mind you, he had great chemistry with Ariel Lin so that compensate the so-so acting). Anyway, KHJ has potential; he just has to study and work some more on it.

Re: Hee! BYJ!!!!!!!!!
How old should the actor be? Could be Kim Nam Gil's age? too bad that it seems he will be in the military for the next two years...

Re: Hee! BYJ!!!!!!!!!
No, younger. The story takes place in high school, university and a bit even later than that. So I guess someone in his early 20s would do. Lee Min-ho refused the part (and ack, he would have done it so well). I can see someone like Jang Geun-suk doing great in that role, but I'm fairly certain he won't ever accept to do this (just too similar to Tae-kyung, I guess); he'd be afraid to be typecast. IDK, someone young. Song Joong Ki, maybe? Hmm, he looks too much like a sweet guy, then again he can act very well so he might be able to nail the part.

Re:KNG *sighs* Don't remind me. I'll be sooo depressed when he goes to boot camp

PS
Sorry, I don't mean to spam you, but if you're interested, people are doing the guess-who's-gonna-land-the-role game here. I've just realized many are rooting for JGS. No big surprise there! ^^

Re: PS
You are not spamming me ;) I really like the conversation! ;)

I am not very familiar with younger actors... so I can't help there too much...

I understand why Lee Min Ho and Jang Geun Suk declined or may declined the part... it's too similar to what they have done recently. And it's truly a pity since they were great in their parts in BOF and YAB. But having in mind that for the main female part they are considering the girl in YAB, I wouldn't like to have the same couple from YAB in another drama, wouldn't that be weird? I'd keep seeing them as their character in that previous drama and comparing and that wouldn't be fair to them as actors. Don't know if that makes sense ;)

Re: PS
I like it too!

Yeah, me neither. I may know the faces, but I don't remember their names. There're just too many of them. I guess since most of the 80ers and 81ers are either already serving in the military or going away soon, we'll learn more about the new generation of actors.

I...am not sure I'd like it if she were cast in that role. IDK. I gotta think about this more, but she'd be too similar to Mi-nam sooo. Re:casting 2 actors who already played a couple on a popular drama. I used to think it'd be weird, but not anymore. When I watched CP -it was my first kdrama- I loved Gong Yoo and YEH sooo much in it and for the longest of time I refrained from watching any of their other projects. Since then, I of course changed my mind and watched their dramas and movies and loved them. If they were ever to play again in another drama? I think I'd like that. Whether it'd be a nice drama or not, I won't ever forget how much I love their characters on CP. I don't know if that makes sense.

Re: KHJ has just been cast in Playful kiss
If his name was being heard here and there and written all over... that's was the reason (Keyeast no west, as I said before lol!) was chosen by KHJ to try his hand on acting and dramas more... so here it goes.

Right now he's getting so many negatives waves going his way because nobody wanted him in that part... poor thing.

As I don't know a thing about the anime, I don't mind... and I wish him the best... I'll be watching for sure ;)

Thanks for the heads up!!! ;)

Re: KHJ has just been cast in Playful kiss
That's what I mean. If BYJ takes him under his wing and is an awesome mentor (and I suspect he will), I'm sure KHJ will turn out a fine actor someday, BUT that will take time. Frankly, I'm not surprised by the negative reactions after the news (BTW, I'm one of the people who didn't...doesn't like this casting). There're soooooooo many young talented actors who could have been cast...soo many. And they're ready to act the part wonderfully right now. It sounds completely ridiculous and stupid to cast -in a leading role! in such a project!- someone who still has a loooot to learn. I get it, his name will draw in many viewers, but, well, no wonder many people are less than convinced by this decision. I will give the drama a try, but honestly? I'm not expecting much. Mind you, I hope KHJ surprises me *g*

Re: KHJ has just been cast in Playful kiss
I prefectly understand you and those against the choice of him for the part! I'm sure that if I loved/liked that anime as much as some of you (and people I know) do, and I KNEW he wasn't for the part I'd be the same.

At the beginning I didn't like him in BOF either... but little by little (and knowing she ends with Minho ;)) made me liked his character a little more. Somebody also told me that it's not just his acting what people didn't like in BOF, but the fact that they changed the original character into something different and changed the plot and all that (don't know if it's true) I haven't checked the other versions yet.
Anyway, I like him as a person and as a singer (I looovvee him in We Got Married). I know he'll succeed in whatever he wants to... probably also in acting... as you say he needs time... let's see what he does with this character ;)

Re: KHJ has just been cast in Playful kiss
Actually I didn't watch the anime, nor read the manga. I watched the taiwanese series and I...didn't like them much. *hides from the fans* I think it would have been better if there were fewer eps (I got over my fear of fast-forwarding while watching them. I FF-ed through most of s2 Heh). I didn't particularly liked the acting either (I didn't like the writing, either, for that matter), but I do admit the leads, Joe Cheng and Ariel Lin, had lot of chemistry together. The thing is, the story and the characters have a LOT of potential and I'm sure, as a kdrama, it could be awesome. Which is why I'm bummed at his casting. Let's assume he grew as an actor after BBF, that's still not going to cut it. Any of the actors mentioned in the article I linked above would have done a better job (they are all veterans compared to KHJ and they can act already) and yes, I'm prejudiced now, but I just don't see how KHJ can do well. Will he study hard, improve and do the best he can? Sure. Will that be enough? Ahem. Will I still watch this? Most likely, yes. *g*

I dropped BBF, meh. I couldn't get past ep 11. And I do love Lee Min-ho so it was painful for me to drop the drama. His acting was soooo good; the drama was a mess, though. Hehe. Re:Yoon Ji Hoo. Hmm, I don't know. Me? I loved Rui in HYD, and I tried really, really, really hard to like Yoon Ji Hoo and KHJ's acting (and I'm fairly open-minded so I wasn't against him because I liked Rui, if you know what I mean?). The thing is -and this applies to all my tvshows- I can endure anything, story-wise (painfully boring/crazy/unbelievable/silly/[insert adjective here storylines) if I "connect" with a character, which usually happens when 1)the acting is good, 2)the character is good enough as it is (meaning no matter what actor played him, I would have liked him) and I just couldn't connect with Yoon Ji Hoo. :/ I really, really hope KHJ fares well with his new drama...but heh, I'm not expecting much.

Re: KHJ has just been cast in Playful kiss
You're right in so little time he can't suddenly become an experienced and good actor (because his only acting experience keeps being just BOF)... I just wish him the best.

As I said before I'll be watching anyway because I like him... ;)
