I haven't seen Blood Ties, so I can't compare. But I'm definitely watching. More after watching the four or five trailers I've already seen ;)

I just read somewhere that the people in charge of Moonlight defend themselves about this new show being an Angel 2.0 and they say that in this show there are only vampires, not any other supernatural beings.
